South Moor Vets
Please do not under any circumstances open your car carrier in or outside of your car, and make sure your cat carrier is secure for your appointment. Cats find it very stressful travelling, especially if they are feeling unwell and are attending an appointment at the vets at a place they are not familiar with.

We've recently had a few escapees in the car park, luckily most of them have been retrieved and returned home, but unfortunately not all are so lucky. Thank you for taking the time to read this, we hope you and your cat have a secure and as stress free experience with us as possible. It's Nicola's last week before she starts her maternity leave.
Services
As you'd expect, we offer a complete range of treatments to help keep your pet in great shape, or get them back on track if they've been unwell. We've invested in the latest equipment to ensure we can provide you with a wide range of treatments options. Our brand new CT Scanner has just been installed at Endsleigh, our newest clinic right next door to Endsleigh Garden Centre!
South Moor Vets is proud to provide its own 24 hour emergency cover. Once our clinics are closed, you can still contact us to receive emergency care for your animals. We're dedicated to the needs of your animals 24 hours a day, and we think this makes us different to many other practices out there.
South Moor Vets are proud to be an independent practice, and we fully intend on staying this way!. Our aim is to provide high quality medical and surgical care for your pets, while remaining compassionate and competitively priced. We offer consultations throughout the day and will attempt to be flexible where possible, and are available for home visits if you struggle to get to us.
We offer a range of Pet Health Plans. These provide all necessary preventative health needs for your animal - vaccination, flea and tick prevention, regular worming and 6 monthly health checks. If you are enrolled on our health plan you also receive discounts on any food, long term medication, blood tests and dental procedures.
If you think your animal needs a CT scan please speak to your veterinary surgeon who can arrange referral if appropriate. We are now accepting referrals for outpatient CT scans from primary care veterinary surgeons. Animals will be assessed for their suitability for anaesthesia on the day of the scan but clinical aspects of the case will not be discussed with owners.

Positive: Responsiveness
Seen whilst on holiday in the area and within 2.5 hours of contacting the practice. From the first contact with the receptionist to our boy being seen by vet Steve, great, friendly and reassuring service - a huge thank you. If we lived in the area, we would certainly register with the practice

Helpful on the phone, easy to use website. The vets are lovely but not 5 stars as I had issues with appointments. Was told that my puppy needed her vaccinations on one day then when we came for that appointment the vet we saw didn't know why we were there. No information we gave at the last visit a week before seemed to have been transferred. Told that my puppy couldn't get her vaccinations until the week after at the earliest and that they didn't supply the brand that she had her first ones on. This is understandable so we called her old vets to get her vaccinations who told us she needed her

Friendly and efficient. Nothing seems too much trouble. Our elderly arthritic labrador is very well looked after by the South Moor team.

Never used these vets before as we are in Devon on holiday I must say how lovely they all were they fitted my dog in for an appointment the same day the vet herself was really nice she took him in checked his eyes thoroughly and treated him as needed, they were very busy so we were surprised at the same day appointment. Even consultation fee was no more than our regular vets. So would highly recommend them.

I took my cat to the Kingsbridge practice of South Moor vets, where they treated her (but who knows because friends of cats or dogs have to wait outside because of the pandemic). The vet brought her back to me but didn't tell me the problem. I contacted them a few days later to find out what was wrong with her. They phoned me back. By the time I got my phone, they rang off.

Over a period of months we have attended South Moor Vets as our devoted and much loved dogs health started to deteriorate. We were always treated with the utmost respect and kindness and Oscar never had a fear of going there.Sadly under anaesthesia for an endoscopy they found a large inoperable tumor so we had to let him go.Again the vet looking after him was charming ,kind and compassionate.
All said if and hopefully when we feel we can have another dog we would return to South Moor without a second thought.
