The Veterinary Hospital Group
Plymouth Veterinary Group provides high quality care for all your pets' healthcare needs, but we also pride ourselves in looking after your needs too. Our Veterinary Hospital and Veterinary Centres around Plymouth provide a convenient and personal service to every part of Plymouth, with the Veterinary Hospital at Estover is open 24 hours every day of the year.

We provide appointments seven days a week, with no daytime surcharge on Saturdays or Sunday mornings for our clients and our vets, nurses and receptionists care for your pets as one of the family. Emergencies are catered for day and night, with a resident vet and nurse always on the premises providing 24-hour care.
Services
Whilst our Veterinary Hospital is at Estover in the north of Plymouth, our Veterinary Centres are situated in various locations around the city. We carry out routine clinical work at all our premises, but critical and emergency cases, pets who need overnight or intensive care, and patients with a need for radiography, ultrasound examination, ECG or endoscopy or major surgery will be treated at our Hospital at Estover.
We have several registered veterinary nurses who are further qualified as Veterinary Health Advisors. They run clinics for nutritional advice, arthritis and diabetes amongst other things and can perform dressing changes, claw clips and other minor procedures. Do ask for an appointment to see if they can help.
Our practice is accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) with the Hospital being rated Tier 3 and the other centres Tier 2. The RCVS Practice Standards Scheme (PSS) is a voluntary initiative to accredit veterinary practices in the UK. Through setting standards and carrying out regular inspections, the Scheme aims to promote and maintain the highest standards of veterinary care.
We believe that nutrition is an important part of keeping pets healthy and can also play a vital part in the treatment of some illnesses. This is why we stock a select range of cat and dog pet food in practice, helping to take the faff out of pet food for our clients by recommending diets that have been scientifically created to provide optimal nutrition, which tastes great!
You may never need to use the full range of services we offer, but registering your pets with us for their routine care ensures the best of attention at all times.

Our Hospital is staffed overnight and at other out-of-hours times by dedicated vets and nurses who are skilled in the sort of emergencies that occur to pets at these times - from road accidents to Caesarean sections, poisonings to haemorrhages, painful problems to convulsions and many others.

Shocking customer service and communication with registered owner.
Complaint form being submitted. If I could score zero I would. Profit before dogs experience

I asked for a repeat prescription from plymstock vets just over a week ago for a repeat prescription for my cockaphoo as I didn't have enough eye drops to finish the course, the receptionist was not helpful and told me there where no vets to help me and she would try and get hold of a vet, mean while I was told to ring the Plymouth vets and was not offered the number I said I had no transport to get repeat prescription in Plymouth the receptionist replied get a taxi I live in plymstock , I then rang the Plymouth branch they were so helpful and nice she said we can send the medication in the post

Nice vet, but way too heavy on the sales pitch. It took them longer to try and get me to sign up for stuff, than for them to look at my dog. I found them more expensive than Elm, but this clinic was the only one that had an appointment free.

My partner and I take our two pet rabbits here frequently, one of which has required an operation. The staff are really lovely and are happy to answer any questions and give advice over the phone. On your first visit you get 6 weeks Pet Plan insurance free which is handy because it gives you cover immediately, whereas when you purchase the same cover online you can't make any claims in the first month or so.

The waiting times seem to be really good as we've never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes and there is adequate parking outside. Along with the usual veterinary services, they

This is a lovely vets, being the main branch of a group in Plymouth. The vets has its own car park area and is very clean and well laid out. There is a seperate entrance and exit so if you have had an upsetting experience you do not have to walk past all the other waiting animals. I have been here with my own animals and injured animals I have found and they are always just as caring with them. Opening hours are longer than other vets I have visited which is very handy if you work all day. Staff are very knowledgeable and always happy to discuss any concerns you may have.
