We are not performing face to face consultations inside the practice at this time, your pet will be taken into the surgery for examination and we can then discuss treatment options from a distance or over the telephone. This we feel is the safest way that we can operate currently as we could be at risk of the track and trace system if we are in close proximity to clients in consulting rooms.

We have started to offer health packages for all of our clients. This is something which we hope will be of benefit as we have decided to make it a very much tailored approach. A monthly fee would be worked out depending on your requirements and all of your pets yearly preventative treatments can be included.
If you are considering a new pet then we would be very happy to have a chat to discuss the suitability and the potential healthcare and life requirements in detail. Even if you are just having a think about it, this would be the perfect time to discuss it with us.

We have used Drake Vets (and as it was Town farm vets) for many years. Our dear dog was registered with Drakes and thankfully he was very healthy most of the time. However recently our poor elderly dog, Tigger had a seizure, diagnosed as a brain tumour. The vets and nurses who dealt with Tigger were first class. Also the receptionists who had to put up with my floods of tears over the phone were very professional. We took Tigger to Drakes for his final journey and we were able to be with him when he had to go. Particular thanks to Chris.

I previously positively reviewed Drake Vets not long after adopting my dog and felt it was worth updating. I've been a customer of this practice for nearly two years now and couldn't imagine using another practice. Every single staff member we've interacted with has been incredibly friendly, and skilled at their job.
We initially chose Drake Vets as we heard they were Sighthound savvy which is important due to their physiological differences compared to other dogs. Not only do the vets clearly understand the unique needs of the breed group, but they have been incredibly understanding of my dogs

Bad experience with young lady vet. Told in reception in front of a puppy class that our 10 year old Labrador need to be put to sleep immediately. Little or no information on possible treatment for diabetic ketoacidosis. Had to use phone in reception to phone partner. Then when putting dead dogs body in car distressed and crying asked to settle account despite having several animals registered and being long term clients. Had to return and infront of puppy class pay bill. Will be finding another vets tomorrow.
