The Heath Robinson Museum is for students of illustration, lovers of landscape paintings, advertising enthusiasts and academics, dads building contraptions in sheds, believers in fairies, children with time to dream, couples stuck in tiny flats, people who put holes in cheese, artificial teeth testers and anyone who's ever held something together with a bit of string.
He showed how people were living and he showed the mentality of people by gently - and sometimes subversively - poking fun at it. He had a lovely mockery towards modernism but at the same time enjoying the architecture and the way people lived. It's as powerful and important as looking at a history book or a novel or indeed looking at great paintings.

A stunning display of this brilliant artists work. The detail and penmanship superb and the staggeringly prolific catalog of drawings, illustrations and watercolours is astounding. Not only would I recommend this museum I will certainly pay it another visit. It's fun and the staff really make it so too.

Warm, welcoming and informative, helpful staff.
Really lovely wee museum space with a permanent Heath Robinson room and a non permanent exhibition room. Beardsley is showing presently. Plus an activities room.
The museum is fairly new 2yrs up and running.
Has a toilet for disabled. Museum is on the ground floor and includes a wee shop full of good quality merchandise. Has an amazing ceiling in the exhibition rooms and great lights in the shop.
Next door is a really nice cafe and Pinner memorial fountain and park.

It was an interesting display about a local man. His drawings were very good. I went to see the exhibition of illustrations from the Peter Pan books. These illustrations certainly brought back some memories, as did the budgie avery and duck pond. Enjoyed a very reasonably priced hot chocolate at Daisy's before leaving.
