The Guards Museum tells the story of the five regiments of Foot Guards who have the honour and duty of protecting the Sovereign and the Royal Palaces from 1660 to the present day. We follow the proud history of these world-class fighting soldiers from the English Civil War to the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, with displays of our unique collection, which stretches back some 380 years.
A series of Podcasts Bearskins, Bayonets and Bravery - Notes from The Guards Museum featuring inspiring and amusing stories that will inspire, astound and amuse. A series of videos exploring our rich collection and looking at the fascinating history of our five regiments. We look forward to welcoming you back and taking you through 360 years of our Regiments' history.

Services
Our collection stretches back to the English Civil War and right up to the present day. With artefacts collected by the five Regiments and private donations relating to those who have served or are serving, we bring our history to life. You will be able to see how uniforms and equipment change through time, while our growing collection of documents and photographs illustrate the personal stories behind the big events.
Whatever your event might be you can rest assured you will receive the same quality of service that has made The Guards famous for the last three and half centuries. No two events are the same and every event is special. This the simple premise on which we base our services. We do not believe in generic solutions or a 'one-size fits all' approach to running events.
The Museum is committed to providing a safe and secure repository for artefacts belonging to the five regiments of Her Majesty's Foot Guards. The museum strives to make these artefacts available for viewing by members of these regiments as well as by the general public.

A fun little museum filled with great artifacts and history. Not entirely noticeable from the street this museum isn't regularly crowded and allows patrons to move at their own pace throughout the exhibits. The staff and friendly and can answer any questions you may have regarding the subject matter. Be aware there is a small fee die upon entry but with so much to offer, it is a fair price.

Was so looking forward to visiting this museum, but I have to say I was disappointed. Though I only paid for myself I would have PAID MORE. They need to get into this century and give customers head phones and be allowed to take photos. Found that odd! So much to read and if your eyes are not good you have had it! The museum looks tired, needs a revamp and maybe they need to section it off into regiment's where they can! I would say you need about 1hr45mins.
The museum closes at 4, but the shop next Door was even more disappointing. It was 3:40 and the gentleman refused to let us in when it clearly
