The Three Horseshoes is a picturesque, thriving, thatched country pub. It's nestled in the quaint, romantic village of Madingley, 3 miles from Cambridge city centre. Voted Cambridgeshire Dining Pub of the Year for 2018, the restaurant serves hearty, comforting dishes, fresh fish, Sunday roasts and plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans.
Particular attention has been paid to preserving the traditional country pub with its real ale, fire and cosy corners. Dogs are welcome in the pub. Enjoy local real ales, cocktails and a wine list focused on the Languedoc-Roussillon. We have a wonderful garden with plenty of space, which includes two pods, and there is lots of parking on site.

Super expensive for average customer why is on a budgt or looking for good value for money. Its a place of luxury where you don't mind to splash out to impress a girlfriend or for a special occasion. Salmon moose wasn't a moose but was just salmon on 1/4 of toast. Main was good. Service is very good too. We paid Β£190 for 2 courses for 4. Its quite out of our budget to come back there again even though the location and atmosphere were quite nice.

Four of us had an excellent experience here tonight on our first visit to this fab pub. The pub itself is lovely & located in a very pleasant little village, the staff are very professional, polite & attentive & the food was absolutely excellent, if you haven't been don't hesitate it ticks all the boxes

Totally enjoyable meal. A friend and I ate out in the garden under a tent top.
Atmosphere was lovely. I had some pickled onions for starters followed up by a medium rare steak with wholegrain mustard accompanied with some chunky chips.
Meal was perfectly prepared and presented and the chunky chips were so good I did something unthinkable and ordered a second portion.
Great experience and highly recommended.

We used to live in Madingley and the Three Horseshoes has always been an institution. Itβs now owned by another big group that includes the Chop Shop. I had not been in 17 years as I live in Australia now. I took my mum. We had a lovely lunch. We were early and that was fine. We had booked inside but wanted to sit outside as it was a lovely day (June) and that was no issue either.
The food was lovely. We shared some entrees some of which are in the photos and everything was tasty and lovely.
My element was christened in the church nearby and we had the party here afterwards. That was 2001.
