St Edmund's Catholic Primary School is a vibrant learning environment where we aim for every child to be loved, every child to matter, every child to achieve and all staff to be enthusiastically committed to children's learning and development. Our mission statement, 'Learn, Love and Live with the Lord' runs through all that we do. We are very proud of all our children and everything that they achieve during their time here. We hope that our website gives you a taste of school life at St Edmund's.

Here at St Edmund's we are aware of the need for before and after school care for our parents. During term time St Edmund's School runs 'The Clubhouse' which provides care for children from 7.45 to 8.45am before school, and then from 3.20pm to 6pm, Monday to Friday. Please refer to the flier below for more details about how to register your child for this club.
In the event of adverse weather conditions, parents will receive a text letting them know whether the school is open or not. The school will only shut if there is no heating or the roads and pavements are so icy as to pose a danger to walkers or we do not have enough staff on site to provide adequate supervision for the children.
Founded in 1954 and very typical of primary schools in Burkina Faso, l'ecole St Michel (or, St Michael's Catholic Primary School) has just six classrooms for 390 children. She describes her reception there in the letter below. Photographs of her visit can be found on the 'Photo Galleries' page. We are trying to find out if it will be possible to load the videos as well.
