Services
Our computer system 'SystmOnline' allows you to access our online facilities such as booking/cancelling appointments and ordering repeat prescriptions. Please take photo ID to the front desk (such as passport or driving licence) and the receptionist will generate the login details for you. For security reasons we can not take requests over the telephone and you must attend in person to obtain this.
When you need a new prescription for your usual treatment, please tick the items required on the printed tear-off counterfoil which comes attached to your prescription. This can either be brought into the surgery and deposited in the prescription request box (on the reception desk), or posted to us (with a s.a.e. if you wish us to post it back).

The receptionists are friendly but incompetent. I registered 3 months ago and haven't been able to get an appointment any of the 4 times I have called. Now i have ran out of my prescription and it's urgent, I called at 8am, explained my sitiation and the receptionist said she could get my prescription issued to the pharmacy today, if she booked a medication review. After the pharmacist reported that they had received the incorrect prescription, I called the doctors later that same day and another receptionist answered, she said that she couldn't understand what the first lady had done, she had

Been with this surgery since 2018 and initially they were fantastic all round and a massive improvement to previous surgeries I had been with in the last.
It's a very mixed review.
The doctors and nursing staff here are brilliant. Always very friendly and willing to help. They are also great with young kids/ babies.
Like every surgery out there the wait times are unacceptable.
What really let's this surgery down is the reception staff. They are awful, rude, uninterested and unhelpful. If they don't know the answer to your question they just fob you off and tell you to call back later or to

When you finally get through to the receptionist, they purposely don’t inform you of all options.
I rang for an appointment between the allotted time, they were all filled but they didn’t let me know I could have asked for a call back.
When I have been able to see a GP (when the receptionist thinks you’re worthy) that has always been a positive experience.

Doctors are great. Never had an issue until today. Called to speak to a doctor and they said naturally a doctor would call me back. This was 8am and it is now 14.00pm not a problem. However when the doctor did call it was rejected on my phone as it is a private number. I rang reception and they were lovely said they would kindly resolve it. Once again i received another missed call from a private number which is automatically rejected. I rang reception to then speak to a new female receptionist who huffed down the phone at me and sighed and asked if I had another number they could call me off I

I could have given zero but not possible. Cannot speak or see a GP. Tried calling multiple times but no response. Waited 1 hr to get through but get constantly get cut off ! This Practice is not fit for purpose and needs to investigated by CQC as soon as possible. I got a text message from practice saying contact us ONLY IF YOU FEEL ITS URGENT !! If it’s urgent I can go to Urgent Care Centre or A&E. This practice is putting patients at serious risk of harm !! If anyone values their health leave this practice.

Very friendly receptionist had no problem. Calls are answered all the time. All female doctors are brilliant and understanding except for the male doctor who disregards everything you say such as “I don’t get why anyway carry on” and is very blunt and rude. Other than that this doctors is one of the best I have been to and would recommend.

Can only highly recommend Stenhouse Medical Centre, from the receptionists, Nurses to all the Doctors I have seen or spoken to.
Friendly, understanding staff, who ensure any problems are dealt with promptly and correctly.
Also throughout the pandemic they have gone above and beyond to ensure all staff and patients remain safe and procedures adhered too.
