We had dined here about 6 years ago when we last stayed in the area and had a fantastic evening, so when we booked to come to the area for a 40th birthday treat we decided to book again and we were not disappointed!

Cosy environment, charming staff and incredible food.
Firstly the steaks... Wow. I'd go back just to have another, tender, full of flavour delightfully cooked to specification. Plus you could feed a small family of the portion size. This isn't your average bistro pub!
The burgers or stacks won the hearts of the table too, consistently delivering flavour, quality and care in every bite.
I would recommend this to anyone with an appetite (even if you don't, is go and share a steak) and who wants to experience the passion of the kitchen come through. If you're in the area, stop by.

Stayed near the Butchers Arms over Christmas.. the Pub it was recommended by the site owners... we popped in hoping to be lucky enough to get a table.. we were welcomed by friendly staff followed by amazing meals... We then booked for Boxing day lunch... OMG delicious.. the food was delicious.

We had an absolute fabulous Christmas dinner today, the food was amazing!
The favours were to die for( chocolate tiffin) and the complementary cocktails and canapés were out of this world ! Everything was so well organised and we was made to feel very special. The lunch was beautifully presented and the taste truly magnificent. It’s always a fabulous meal here, but today you totally excelled in everything.

Excellent service, already trying to book our next visit. Staff and owners knowledge and appreciation of products was exceptional. Venue was incredibly clean and well presented. Beautifully cooked steak and sides. I loved the touch that they got me a plate as I am fussy about eating off a wooden board. Thank you to the owners, chefs and all the staff.

Really great Sunday lunch, massive portions and really well catered for gluten free people - my partner was able to have three courses including a roast with yorkshire puddings. Half size roast portions for children available too. We'll have to find an excuse to come back and visit again.
Only two small issues - the menu didn't mention the brownie contained nuts and I wouldn't have ordered it if I'd known and we didn't seem to get a discount for our three courses deal so make sure to check your bill for that!
