The Salmon is a quaint, traditional pub with a large wooden bar and comfortable, friendly atmosphere for all the family (and the dog!) Where possible we use local produce - meat and local game - to keep our menus fresh and seasonal. The Salmon boasts a wonderful grassed beer garden with play area for the children as well as a quieter patio area.
Leave the M5 at junction 13, then at roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A419. At the next Roundabout take the 1st exit south on the A38 heading towards Bristol. Continue south for approximately 4 miles, you pass our sister pub The George at this point, continue for another half mile, at the Slimbridge roundabout continue straight over staying on the A38.

Staff shortages due to effects of staff isolating due to covid. Only one member of staff front of house and one waitress. No huge delays considering the staffing levels. It was quite busy. Meals were fine accept chips were overcooked. It wouldn't put me off a return visit as we feel things would be better without the pressures of staffing issues caused by covid. Staff were pleasant and friendly.

Used The Salmon Inn whilst staying in Berkeley for a few days. Rachel and her team were very friendly and helpful. All Covid safety being observed. Draught beers and cider excellent, good choice of food on menu. Food was excellent. Large garden with huge climbing frame to keep children amused for hours. Lots of outdoor seating. Also, the pub is much larger inside than it looks, with plenty of seating.

Friendly and welcoming staff, great large quiet garden. Enjoyed our food, just right in terms of price, portion and quality. Had fish and chips, 8yr old had the children's fish and chips which was great value. Great place to sit and enjoy the British weather. 30min from home, just down the road from Ships Graveyard, the canal and estuary Will be returning.

The Salmon has a very large pub garden with a big climbing frame. I want to give 4 stars but it didn't quite meet it. The food was okay. Good quality food but a bit pricy for what it was. We visited in the first weekend that outdoor seating was allowed at pubs and they didn't seem prepared. We arrived early and recieved our food on time but by 2.30 the kitchen had to close and restock affecting other customers. It took an hour to get the bill and then the Internet outside made it difficult to pay. Everyone was lovely and friendly and the foods and drink were of goof standard but the wait times
