Have to say I've never had a more tasteless Indian dinner. We ordered takeaway and although the portions were a good size my chicken mahal just tasted of chicken in gravy, no spice or taste at all...and I'm covid free so there's no reason I shouldn't taste anything! Our starter order was wrong as well. Very expensive to have a tasteless dinner.

Lovely friendly restaurant, but on two consecutive occasions the food has been extremely salty. This has been with several different dishes. Not sure if there may have been a change of chef 🤷🏻‍♂️.

One of the best curry houses in the area. We’ve tried others in the area and you will not find anything better. The staff are super friendly and polite. The food is fresh and authentic and the flavours of different dishes can be easily distinguished where all others fail in the local area with authenticity the Spice Mahal is amazing!

Not long moved to the area and very happy to know there is a top quality Indian restaurant within walking distance! Have eaten here 3 times already and the consistency is something to be admired. Very happy.

6 of us only 1 error where a lamb dish was requested and a vegetable dish was dished out.
Once realised a second meal was sorted. Ran out of alcohol free except 1 brand tasted awful. Other than that we had a very enjoyable evening.

The curry was good, but I ordered a dessert called Trufito, it turned out to be as big as an apple (on the picture it looked like a cake size dessert) and I understand that I asked for takeaway, but it was put in a plastic bag with no covering or box, and as a result part of the "cake" got stuck on the inside of the bag.

Early this week we had a take-away meal from Spice Mahal in Rangeworthy. The food was FANTASTIC. Eight of us ordered various starters (onion bhaji, poppadoms) and 6 or 7 main entrees that we shared (garlic massala, vegetable curry, king prawns, etc.). What a great meal. I've not eaten in the restaurant but the take away is definitely a treat.

Very much as described by described previous reviewer. Been here for sit down meals and take away and yes, the food is very good. The restaurant itself is not inspiring but is good Indian decor, functional and homely. Then again the price is very respectable. Staff are very friendly and service is prompt. The place is very popular over the weekend so book early. I have had slightly better food or grander surroundings but this was invariably at a much higher price. Overall its very good value for money - it is one of the best curry house in the area. Well worth a visit.

Literally the best curry house I have ever been to. This is the curry house that all other curry houses have to live up to. Very very odd location i'll admit. My mum heard about this place through word of mouth when she moved to her little village on the Bristol/Gloucestershire borders.
We usually chance it and rock up without making a reservation. However, when we get there, it's usually pretty busy so on Friday/Saturday nights, booking may be advisable.
The staff are all incredibly nice and friendly. Service is efficient, and the staff are happy to make recommendations if you can
