Services
Magdalen Nursery is a registered early years provider and as such we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). It is our goal to provide each child with a personal programme for development and learning. Every child is treated as an individual and encouraged to learn at his or her own pace. Through careful observation and analysis, we document our children's profiles and guide their development personally.
Our excellent in-house chef creates a weekly seasonal menu which provides a balanced diet for our children. This will always contain plenty of fresh vegetables, meats and fruit. We pay due attention to every child's dietary requirements and any allergies. We believe that establishing healthy habits is essential in early life and our varied menu reflects this.
Housed in a converted Victorian Lodge, we founded Magdalen Nursery at this site in 2012. We took a great deal of care and thought in converting this beautiful old building into a safe and modern nursery setting. The nursery garden takes pride of place at the Lodge and is loved by all the children and families at the school.
St George's Grove is our second nursery, built in early 2016. It has been rated OUTSTANDING IN ALL AREAS by Ofsted in 2018 and is one of the most coveted nurseries in Wandsworth. Four years after The Lodge being in operation, we realised the need to open a new setting locally to accommodate the families on our waiting list.
Magdalen Nursery Sutton is a brand new nursery in the old Church of Christ Scientist, on Cheam Road. This landmark building opposite the Sutton High School for Girls has served the community for decades. We were honoured to have been given the opportunity to convert it into a state of the art nursery and pre-school for local children.
