The Little Red Hen Nursery School is a 30-place Ofsted-registered nursery school in Battersea, London running every weekday in term time. This small school, established in 1989, offers a happy, safe and stimulating introduction to schooling. A secure garden allows outside play in fine weather. The school year consists of three terms each of about twelve weeks with one week's half-term and we have two entries throughout each academic year, September and January.
Services
Children are welcomed at the door by Miss Zara at 9.30am and are encouraged to shake hands and say "good morning." This helps to develop confidence, good manners and instill routine. Each week there is a new topic which is explored through out the timetable. This provides a consistent theme to the week's activities, which also encompass the seven areas of learning set out by Ofsted in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Little Red Hen is a caring and positive introduction to developmental, social and emotional learning. It is a fun and safe environment for children to explore and playing in the large outdoor space is a joy for all of them. The wonderful team is lead by the amazing Miss Zara who is constantly introducing new experiences and activities.
