As the headteacher, it is with great pleasure that I welcome you, on behalf of the staff, governors and pupils, to Chaloner Primary School Website. Whatever the needs of your child we aim to ensure they thrive at Chaloner, feeling safe, having fun and enjoying success. We want our pupil's time in our school to be memorable, build upon what they know and can do and help them become lifelong learners.
Children are at the centre of all we do and we live our motto 'We believe we can achieve!'. On their journey through Chaloner we nurture their self-belief to challenge them selves to be the best they can be in all that they do. We have a dedicated and talented team of staff committed to working in the best interests for our children; they also equip them with the skills they may need for the journey they are yet to take.

Services
For any enquiries about our school or content on our website, please contact our school office and they will forward your enquiry to the appropriate member of staff. We follow the Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council's policy for admissions. Our school website, mobile app and podcasts are created using School Jotter, a Webanywhere product.
We belong to a number of partnerships which allow for many opportunities for professional support and challenge; thus enabling our school community to be self reflective and constantly seeking to improve. Through these partnerships we engage in joint CPD, procurement and self evaluation for staff at all levels.
School governance is the most important volunteering role in education and, as unpaid voluntary public servants, our governors are committed to serving the best interests of Chaloner Primary School. They set strategies for Chaloner, monitor its achievements, help to sustain its identity and provide a link with the local community.
Our children are the most important people in the school and therefore Pupil Voice is an essential aspect of school life. We want our children to know that we value their opinions and hope that they feel heard and understood. Our School Council raises awareness of the democratic society that we live in and the British Values that we promote.
We are proud to be a Rights Respecting School and have worked hard to achieve level 1 in 2017. We are striving to achieve the Gold award over the next year. As duty bearers (adults) we help our rights holders (children) to grow into confident, caring and responsible young citizens both in school and within the wider community.
