We are a family run hotel, who believes in providing a top quality guest experience and value for money. A high percentage of our visitors are from repeat business and from recommendations by our existing customers. We are small enough to treat people as individuals but experienced enough to have the expertise to be proficient in our work.
Our Hotel offers guests an unforgettable stay with its warm hospitality, unique services, quality and a high respect for any of our guests. This all set on the magical Isle of Wight. Fine sands and beautiful beaches await you. Great family hospitality and warm service from the moment you step in to our hotel to the moment you leave.
Why not stay with us for the Isle of Wight festival? Unfortunately John has developed a chronic eye condition and has had his driving licence taken away. We can no longer pick people up or drop them off. There is a great shuttle service with the local buses. One of our most famous landmarks, well worth an explore with suprises like the famous coloured sands, the old world war gun implacements and the exciting chairlift.
There are plenty of ways to get to our lovely Island. For those of you who know how to use QR codes this one links to our local bus company and all their offers including timetables. They do some fantastic day tickets for groups and individuals. Coming by bike then we have safe storage and plenty of tools.

Stayed for five nights at the end of May. Lovely place, very comfortable with lots of places to relax. The garden is beautiful with plenty of places to relax. John and Dave could not have been more helpful very accommodating, making sure you felt safe in the current climate. Great breakfast. Would certainly visit again.

10/10 - What a fantastic stay I had here. The hotel décor and front garden had clearly had a lot of love put into it, and the room was really comfy, meeting all my needs and exceeding my expectations. The guys are amazing, and make sure you have an amazing stay from the moment you arrive. Full English Breakfast was exceptional and the coffee was good too. Evening dinner was amazing with the Authentic Hungarian Cuisine, absolutely loved it and will definitely return her when next on the Island. You won't be disappointed and you may come away having made a new friend or two. Great staff, great food

Very nice hotel. Very tastefully decorated. Gorgeous Tiffany style lamps throughout (my personal favourites). Very clean in every area. Nice lounge area to relax and socialise in. Staff were friendly and explained everything to us.
We opted to have breakfast during our stay and it was well worth the extra. Definitely will come again if I am in need of a hotel in the area.

We were looking for New Year’s Eve celebration and found Somerton Lodge. As non drinkers we were surprised that we found a place which is alcohol free with an organised party. The owners were absolutely fantastic, very nice people, relaxed and fun, generous and well organised. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and they made us feel very comfortable. It felt like being amongst friends. We enjoyed whole evening and we will definitely return for a stay in this place. We would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you so much, Aida and Paul

The public areas of the hotel are lovely. The photos of the garden give the impression that the hotel has a lovely garden. In fact the garden is in the front that looks out onto the main road.so no rear garden space to enjoy. Artistic licence has been used to advertise.
The rear carpark is not that accessible if you have mobility issues as you have to drag suitcases in the rain to the front of the hotel as we did.
The twin room downstairs was very basic metal single beds, bathroom with bi fold doors so not much privacy. Big brown furniture so very little space.
The view was the car park.
