Elizabeth Lodge Rest Home is a well-established and privately owned rest home specialising in dementia care. Services
Elizabeth Lodge considers residents' meals an important part of its care, providing not only varied and carefully chosen appetising menus but also social-interaction with other residents and staff. The residents' input plays an important part in the Home's daily menus, and its specialised cooks cater for individual preferences or dietary requirements.
The Home employs its own dedicated Activities Coordinator who provides regular activities for both the enjoyment and stimulation of all our residents. These can range from group activities to individual 'one-to-one' interaction. Staff accompany residents for walks around the surrounding area, including the seafront.
Elizabeth Lodge prides itself on maintaining a loyal team of valued and well-trained staff of all age ranges. All our staff are highly trained to national diploma attainment, and the Home maintains strong emphasis on continual staff training. Because we generally enjoy an admirably low staff turnover, our residents can depend on being cared for by staff familiar to them - so important to those with cognitive impairment.
