Congratulations to Kelly Lamont on her Raffle win. Thank you to all who have taken part and entered our prize draw. Thanks to Cloverhill Fuels for their generosity and our super P.T.A for coming up with this great idea. A big thank you to Mrs Logan for creating our super car park video and everyone at A1 Embroidery for the fantastic signage.
Our P7 leavers enjoyed a very special virtual award ceremony. It was lovely to see all of our P7s before they head off on a new adventure. We will miss them all greatly in Ampertaine and thank them for all that they have brought to our school. Such kind, thoughtful, caring pupils who have been a pleasure to have in our school.

They have really enjoyed researching the topic for themselves and have produced some fabulous work. P6 & 7 have been learning about our Historic Linen Village of UPPERLANDS. They have also enjoyed lots of experiences as part of their Shared Education project with St. Patrick's, Glen. To conclude their Linen topic P6 & 7 performed the play about Linen in Ulster - 'KISSING THE SHUTTLE.'
Sealed in the sample collection pod and on the Osiris mothership are data chips and both chips include the name of our school. It's amazing to think that a small part of our school will be blasting off into space on one of the year's most important extra terrestrial missions. The Osiris mission will link up with a near-earth asteroid, landing on it for long enough to take about 2kg of rock samples which will return to earth in 2023.
Lance Corporal Thomas McIlroy, from Upperlands, died during World War 1. He was awarded the Military Medal for bravery. Later, in the year the war ended, a gas attack on his regiment cost him his life. 7 of his Great Nieces & Nephews attend Ampertaine where we display a special memorial to Tommy in November.

Over the years we have ALWAYS been able to count on the fullest possible support of our parents but now the time is right to formally set up our own PTA. We now have an extensive list of parents who have committed to forming and maintaining a productive PTA. At school we definitely need to share workload at a time when so much is being demanded of Governors and staff.
