Knockloughrim Primary School
Welcome, Knockloughrim Primary School is situated in a pleasant and spacious setting on the edge of the village of Knockloughrim near Magherafelt, County Londonderry. Our children are drawn from the village and from a wide surrounding rural catchment area of up to 10 miles; almost all our little learners travel to school by car or by bus.

The school's enrolment has risen from 49 in 2003 to the current figure of 115. Our school is going from strength to strength and after our recent ETI inspection in 2010 our learning community was found to be a 'Very Good School' with often 'Outstanding' teaching and 'Excellent Management'.

In Knockloughrim Primary School we follow the Northern Ireland Curriculum. The Northern Ireland Curriculum sets out the minimum requirement that should be taught at each key stage throughout the child's time in Primary School.

Within these requirements, we in Knockloughrim Primary School have a responsibility to provide a broad and balanced curriculum for all children and we aim to give every child the opportunity to experience success in learning and to achieve as high a standard as possible.
These kits can remain in school on your child's coat hook in a draw string PE kit bag or be taken home as and when you desire. We are not overly prescriptive with regard to type of coats. We do have a range of KPS Coats, KPS Wooly Hats & KPS Sun Caps available from our school office, but none of these are compulsory.
