At Scartho Eyecare Ltd, Grimsby, we are committed to providing a first-class professional eye care service to all of our patients. Our Optometrist will carry out a thorough examination of your eyes, not just an assessment of whether spectacles or contact lenses are needed. All adult patients have a 30 minute appointment, as we believe 10 or 15 minutes in an optician's consulting room does not give enough time for a comprehensive examination.
Modern contact lenses are more convenient and more comfortable than ever before, allowing many people freedom from wearing spectacles. All Spectacle Dispensing at Scartho Eyecare is carried out by our highly trained, fully qualified and registered Opticians. We use no sales staff, no assistants on commission. Single vision lenses, or Single focus lenses, have one focus point. Younger Patients generally will only require single vision lenses as they have enough Accommodation to move the focal point to where required.

First time visit here to have 2 pairs of sunglasses repaired.
Was assisted promptly and politely by Emily and Estelle.
Expected to have to come back another day to collect my sunglasses, but was invited to wait. Both pairs were done, as new, within 10 minutes...and free of charge!! (With optional donation to charity box)
Can't recommend highly enough!

Very disappointing experience as the prescribed glasses did not give me clear long distance vision. A recheck was undertaken and the prescription was stated to be correct, and a physical adjustment made. I had to resort to going to another optician who have dispensed glasses that are absolutely fine. I have given direct feedback to the optician, but all I got was a sorry. An expensive mistake on my part.
