Everyone's vision changes over time, your best chance of keeping your eyes in the best possible condition is with regular eye tests. How often you have an eye check depends on your age and visual requirements. The Department of Health recommend once every two years for healthy adults, with more frequent tests for children, people over 70, and those with conditions such as diabetes, glaucoma and macular degeneration.
Glasses draw attention to your face, they can make a big difference to the way you look. That is why it is important to wear a pair that really suits you, at Opticks you will receive an unhurried experience whilst choosing the right pair to make sure you look great in your new spectacles. It is very important to protect your vision in sunlight.
Contact lenses give you the freedom to see - and be seen - without spectacles and many people think they look more natural wearing them. Contact lenses also offer you excellent all round vision and are ideal for many sports. Equally important, modern contact lenses are both comfortable and affordable.
At Opticks Optician Julie Anne is fully qualified and specialises in visual stress. If your child is identified or you are worried about their reading ability, you should book them in for a full eye examination. Visual Stress and Meares - Irlen Syndrome? At Opticks Opticians we offer a full range of alternative brands to provide vision correction for YOUR SPORT. These can be made to full frame size or with special optical inserts that clip into the frame gaining the freedom to choose and change the front filter to match the light conditions in which you could be practicing your sport.

I was on holiday just down the road and my son who is autistic was playing in the disco and broke his glasses, this was quite distressing for him, I took the glasses to Opticks opticians in the hope they could help, all they had to do was replace a screw and the gentleman said it would be around ten minutes to repair, we went down the road for a quick bit of breakfast and when we got back they were fixed, I offered the gentleman some money for his time but he refused as it was a simple repair. Highly recommend as the optician is a real gentleman and the service was brilliant. Thank you.

Visiting Woodhall Spa when I accidentally damaged my glasses. Opticks fixed them beautifully, better than they'd been in 2 years with Boots at home. Kay (?!) was friendly, welcoming, kind & knowledgable. I will make sure my next eyesight test is conducted when I'm visiting Woodhall Spa! Nice range of cases too.
