Services
Our babies benefit from the large, bright, open plan day room, which is well equipped with sensory equipment to test their senses and encourage development. As babies spend a lot of time sleeping at this early age, we provide a dedicated sleep room. We constantly monitor the temperature to ensure the babies are comfortable, and we monitor the children at all times.
The vast majority of our nursery staff are either NNEB (National Nursery Examination Board) or equivalent, or participating in the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in Early Years and Childcare. We have a very high qualified staff ratio which far exceeds that of OFSTED requirements. All of nursery our staff are trained in First Aid.
At Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery we strongly believe that healthy, balanced nursery meals are essential for growth and development in the under 5's. We always provide fresh, balanced nursery meals to the children at each meal time with a choice of fresh fruit at snack times. We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
All children at Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries are encouraged to learn through play. Our early years education Curriculum covers all the key areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage and is designed to meet the needs of each individual child.

Having started Monkey Puzzle in Jan my son is really enjoying his three day a week at pre-school. The best thing about nursery is the kind, caring and enthusiastic staff members who always have time to chat to you about your child and their progress. The staff at Monkey Puzzle are wonderful- they go out of their way to make our son feel happy and safe.

Both my son and daughter attended Monkey Puzzle in Hartley Witney and absolutely loved it. I like the fact that it’s quite a small nursery so has a lovely family feel to it. It didn’t take long for either of my children to settle in. Cherry and Sarah were always very approachable and flexible which really helps as things in life can often change at… the drop of a hat. I would highly recommend Monkey Puzzle to anyone who was looking for an outstanding nursery setting. Thank you for everything you did for us while attending the nursery you’ve been wonderful.

I cannot praise the staff here enough. My son started nursery at 9 months old. I made the decision to send him to nursery in advance of my return to work to give him time to settle as he had always refused to take milk/formula from a bottle and it was an extremely difficult decision. Everyone has gone above and beyond for him and within a short… time he was drinking milk with a straw thanks to the patience of the staff. I cannot describe the relief I felt. Everyone is so caring and welcoming and it is so reassuring to see your child reach out for a cuddle from their key worker. I love receiving
