Willowdene Nursery School is. A privately run pre-school, catering for children from birth to school age. The Nursery School was established in 1982 and moved in 1991 to a modern and attractive, purpose built building. It has a friendly and homely atmosphere where your child will be educated in a play based, learning environment.
Providing safe, stimulating, challenging and purposeful play, we aim to give your child the very best start in life. The nursery is separated into three rooms, each providing a cosy, clam and comfortable atmosphere that aims to replicate the home environment that each child knows and feels happy in.

Services
2 -3 yrs 64 per day (8-5 incl food, for children attending minimum 3 days per week) or 7.15 per hour. All food is freshly prepared on the premises. We have a Healthy Eating policy, encouraging healthy eating habits from an early age. Water is freely available for all children and snacks of milk and fruit are provided during every session.
Briefly, we have a wide variety of equipment and materials to cater for the child's physical, intellectual, emotional and social development. We follow the EYFS catering for the child's physical, intellectual, emotional and social development. We explore our local area of Parks, Woodland and Shop and encourage links with the community (Schools, Library, Farms, Inter-generational visits etc).
Our qualified staff identify each babies' needs with the skills, expertise and sensitivity that this specialised field calls for. We work hard to create an atmosphere that is warm, trusting and stimulating. From birth, children want to explore the world around them - we expand this natural curiosity by stimulating both their physical and social needs through play, and by offering emotional security with lots of cuddles and reassurance.
As children transition to this room we continue to encourage the children's social development and learning opportunities. Here we aim to develop little people with personality, imagination and a sense of adventure. This room is full of exciting things for your child to choose from with plenty of multi-sensory equipment to stimulate and extend, in a warm and loving environment.
We provide resources to encourage children to learn through curiosity, confidence, discovery and challenge. In the Pre-School room staff work alongside the children to support their learning and enhance their experiences, for example, talking about their ideas, following their line of interest, stimulating investigation and developing social, emotional and physical skills.
