Pumpkin Patch aims be the leading provider of quality childcare in the local area. Through the use of resources of a high standard and with highly qualified and motivated staff we strive to achieve our aims. Children are valued as individuals and are encouraged to learn through play and exploration in a stimulating environment ably supported by their adults.
At Pumpkin Patch we believe a high quality early years experience provides a firm foundation on which to build future academic, social and emotional success. The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) supports the child's inbuilt curiosity and desire to make sense of the world around them and helps them discover that learning is interesting and fun; this is vital if children are going to be keen for the rest of their lives.
Mealtimes are important social occasions at Pumpkin Patch. They allow children to develop their independence and spend social time with staff and their friends mixing between ages. Both nurseries follow a seasonal menu offering balanced meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner with healthy snacks in between.
Staff provide children with positive role models. They form secure emotional attachments with children and develop their confidence to socialise and form friendships. The director and the manager are extremely experienced, well qualified and inspirational. They nurture, coach and guide all their staff to exceptionally high standards of practice.
This has been our first nursery experience, and it has certainly gone above and beyond our expectations. We chose Pumpkin Patch for its intimate setting and home-from-home feel. Our son has loved being at Pumpkin Patch, and it's very important to know that he's been well looked after. There is always a detailed update of what our son has been doing during the day, and there are thoughtful gifts and keepsakes for parents throughout the year.
