Services
During my career, injuries were inevitable and reoccurring. I spent some time in physio, like most dancers. Fortunately, I was recommended to try hot yoga and immediately I felt the effect on my body. In 2012 I returned home and quickly realised hot yoga classes in Edinburgh were extremely limited and I wanted to share this specialized yoga with the city.
You do not need any experience to join our beginner classes. We recommend the following classes to begin with until you feel confident to try our level 2-3 classes. If you're after dynamic classes that will increase your heart rate, improve your strength, flexibility, balance and want to sweat, here are the following classes to try: Classic, Power (All Levels), Beginners Ashtanga, Warm Flow, Hot Flow (All Levels) & Yin Yang.
We work with many different types of injuries and health conditions everyday, simply modifying postures for newbies. Please arrive 15 minutes before your first class, sign in at reception and we will show you around. Arriving early enables you to have a chat with our teachers and avoid feeling rushed or stressed before class.
We have officially reopened our doors and cannot wait to welcome you back to YGH. Since we closed due to the pandemic we've realised what a special community of people we have gathered at YGH and look forward to filling the studio with the same energy and care! With our clients in mind, we sat together and developed our plan for safely reopening our doors.
Please bring along enough water especially to our warm & hot classes. We offer complimentary infused water and sell Chilly's Bottles at the studio and are proud to say that we are a plastic-free studio. If you have a yoga mat please bring it with you otherwise we hire our Lululemon mats for 2. Bring a towel for class and if you wish to use our shower facilities, a towel for after class.

Great teachers and I very much enjoyed the classes I attended. However, the business is not client-oriented and you wouldn't get much sympathy when you are 3 mins late for a class and it's not even your fault, you will still lose this class you paid for. I appreciate this is a small business, however, I find this approach very behind. Perhaps, an attempt to look for a compromise together with a client would leave clients feeling better about the business and more welcome, despite what the policy states. Otherwise, the studio is a gem: a great place to practice and teachers are amazing!

I got into yoga about two years ago because I ran lots and was constantly always struggling to stretch properly. I hear about hot yoga, and having lived most of my life in very warm places like Florida, I thought the combination of hot and yoga sounded ace. I got a Groupon deal, and generally they run a special for beginners to try for two weeks at £25. Normally classes are £12 a piece unless you get a block card, then they are less. I've take several classes there after I used up my initial block and love it! It is super warm, but I enjoy it and you feel like you work a lot harder to concentrate
