🙏 Feeling hugely grateful to Meadowlark Yoga for their fantastic weekly line-up of live classes over the last two months. For a relatively small studio, they adapted so quickly and smoothly to moving online. The teachers are all excellent and the monthly fee (£25) is incredibly good value. (Still can't wait to go back in person, mind!)

I’ve been coming to Meadowlark for over a year. I’ve done a beginners yoga course here and now come weekly, and I also attend restorative yoga nidra too. I love it. The studio space is lovely and all staff are so welcoming. It’s also very reasonably priced. The minute I walk in the door I feel content.

Meadowlark really is a fantastic place to go. The teachers & staff really make you feel welcome & I love coming here for yoga courses. I completed my Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Training here and more recently the Vinyasa yoga course with Joanne Ewen & Frankie Culpin. Awesome teaching in a fantastic venue. Thank you so much 🙏💕🙏

Such a great space. Knowledgeable and compassionate teachers with a sense of humor and understanding of the process with the poses. The students were inviting as I am from out of town and was dropping in for a short visit. This should be a destination for practitioners, and after practice Edinburgh has some great places to visit also 😉

I’ve been going to Meadowlark Yoga for classes since it started because of the great teachers, and recently signed up for an Ayurvedic cleanse with Clare Fulton. I’d not done a cleanse like this before, so having the guidance from Clare in terms of preparation, setting intentions and support during it was really valuable. Having a group page to ask… questions and share experiences was great too. I had wanted to have a spring re-set of my eating habits and I’ve definitely achieved that, now feel more energised without relying on caffeine, and my hayfever has drastically

I first came to Bristo yoga school to in 2010 as a fresher at the University of Edinburgh and loved the candlelit basement, the kind teachers and the soothing smell of aromatherapy oils. A year or two later, and the staff and school transferred to the meadows, where it was renamed Meadowlark Yoga.
My favourite teachers were Susan, Karen, Jenna and Nadine who led both the Ashtanga beginners classes and the morning Myesore. I had been practising the former for a while, not knowing there was another stage, when Susan kneeled down and scrutinised my asana. She said "I think you're ready

Meadowlark is my favourite yoga place in Edinburgh. Right by the meadows, it offers a range of classes starting as early as 7:30 for Ashtanga Yoga Mysore style (self Practice), to late in the evening with Hot Vinyasa, Yin flow, chanting, life drawing and more. I can choose to take a class where ever I want. It fits totally my changeable work time table. Lovely people too, and some of the students are very good. Welcoming for any level.

I've been coming to Meadowlark for years. It's of a high standard; cleanliness, staff and appearance. It's probably the most professional yoga studio I've visited in Edinburgh, and I highly recommend. Big selection of classes on the timetable.
Classes are affordable, there are membership options *and* a morning Mysore program, run by the lovely Sarah Hatcher!
I feel blessed to be a part of such a lovely, yogi community :)

Can't believe I've yet to review Meadowlark. I first came across them through classes at Sweaty Betty, then went to open days and bought class passes.
Really like Meadowlark for yoga. Good teachers here - I'm a big fan of Joanne and Nadine, both of whom do amazing classes.
Timetable can be a bit awkward at times in so far as sometimes teachers are travelling at the same time so then not much on that suits me. I'm not a yoga bunny in so far as I'm the trier but absolutely not the yoga bunny who gets it all perfect. I like restorative, vinyasa and yin but avoid hot yoga

Meadowlark Yoga is my favorite place in all of Edinburgh. I have been going to classes here for nearly a year and I just can't get enough of the amazing people and practice that happens at this place. I have been so blessed to find some of my favorite yoga teachers ever at this place, especially Karen Kirkness.
I try all types of yoga here because I am that sort of gal, but it is an Ashtanga-focused studio. There are still lots of Ashtanga vinyasa classes and even aerial yoga which I also adore. There is something for absolutely everyone, and Karen is expanding all sorts of anatomy focused

Experienced teachers and excellent classes - this is a great place to practice yoga in Edinburgh. Drop in classes can be a bit pricey at £12 but you can bulk buy at better prices. There's also mat hire - so bring your own! Despite these tiny drawbacks I would defo recommend as the classes are taught very well and enjoyably.

A long time ago in a galaxy far away (about 10 years ago in downtown Manhattan, to be precise), I was one of those women who would go to yoga 4-6 times a week. For years.
And then I went to grad school and moved overseas and the only asana I did on a regular basis was corpse pose, which is pretty much just laying down.
I started coming to Meadowlark over the summer after years away from yoga and have loved coming here. I always feel great after a class. I'm not able to practice as regularly as I'd like because I travel a lot, but their selection of classes and available plans for

I've just come back from a hot yoga class. This lovely, friendly and relaxed studio is great for beginners (like me) who can find it intimidating going along to a class for the first time. Though looking at their website there are a wide variety of classes and a very easy booking system. High five to Helen who was the instructor and ran a great class. Sweaty, hot and feeling fab now :-)

I've been happily attending Meadowlark's weekday classes for the past two months. The space is lovely, with a particularly nice and clean changing room.
Just to give you a taste of a few of the teachers' styles:
Elle's classes focus on strengthening the core, with some pilates elements. After about a month of practice, I had grown markedly stronger. Her classes are often quieter and more meditative, with a lot of deep twisting postures, which is a lovely way to begin the week.
Paul's classes are particularly accessible for beginners, with a focus on really developing

I'm a complete Yoga newbie. I've been here once but I think the review is warranted.
After receiving a yoga mat for my birthday (I have never been to a yoga class in my life so it was a surprise) I have been looking for a class I might enjoy.
Yoga has never appealed to me. I'm the type who goes to the gym to sweat to an embarrassing degree. If I'm not soaked and sweaty I don't feel like I've achieved anything so I went looking for a class with one clear goal in mind : hot yoga.
It seems like a fad but I do think I work better when already warm, my best times running

Excellent, welcoming studio, great atmosphere, tough, but enjoyable classes.
I've practiced in other studios where you can feel unwanted when you first enter the room... not here! That's what I like about Meadowlark
Hot Yoga is my favourite class and it's a great way to detox yourself (especially living in Edinburgh, you tend to have a couple beers here and there).

I've been to a few different classes at Ashtanga Yoga Edinburgh and they have all been fantastic. The vibe in the studio is great - very welcoming and supportive. I'm still trying to find my niche in terms of the best type of yoga and Ashtanga Yoga Edinburgh has something for everyone it seems. Gentle Hatha or Vinyasa classes or more intense sessions focusing on yoga for Athletes (yet to try these!). I like how the whole studio and the associated Meadowlark shop are geared towards creating a really holistic approach to your yoga lifestyle - encouraging complimentary therapies and
