Hot Yoga Edinburgh
We run a range of yoga classes in a heated studio. We heat the studio to 26-29°C during the daytime and to 35-39°C in the evenings. The reason for these temperatures is as follows; during the day we want students to be able to warm and stretch their muscles without leaving them too exhausted or sweaty as they head back out into their day, in the evenings the hotter classes will increase the cardio workout, and leave students feeling very relaxed and ready for a good nights sleep.

We offer various different styles of class, from a slow paced, relaxing Yin class to a faster paced dynamic Vinyasa class. We were honoured to win the Hot Yoga Studio of the Year 2019-20 at the LTG awards! We were also awarded the Customer Service Excellence Award 2018 in the Luxury Travel Awards, in recognition of our strong focus on providing a great customer experience for our students.

Our award winning, custom built studio is located at 2 Ladyfield. The Studio is situated on a quiet pedestrian square, on the corner of Ladyfield and Conference Square, right next to the EICC.

Hot Yoga Edinburgh was founded in 2011 by a young Finnish couple, Johanna and Riku, two Yoga teachers who had fallen in love with Edinburgh and decided to bring Hot Yoga classes to the Scottish capital, renting space from other Yoga studios to run a few classes per week.Allison found their classes and quickly became one of their most regular students.
This training begins with the intention of being an inclusive, dedicated and resourceful program. In addition to the many hours you will spend with Allison, this training also offers an opportunity to study with our skilled and knowledgeable faculty who will assist in certain units. There will be ample led-practice time and abundant practice teaching.
Our teachers are all qualified with at least one 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training certificate. They all share the same principle of doing no harm, to themselves or others. Each teacher brings their own unique experience and training to their classes. Allison discovered hot yoga in 2003 and fell in love with the practice from her very first class.

The classes vary a lot in quality depending on the teacher. Also they don't heat the studio for the Sunday morning class until it starts so you stretch cold muscles for the first half hour.

Just mind blowingly awesome! No words, just blood, sweat and tears seriously The Wizard of Ed is a universal mentor. Definitely more than a dance class- shhhhh don’t tell anyone but, for someone a bit fussy like myself- I was completely out of control thanks to Campbell. 10* I’ll be back next Saturday puleez save a space for me. LOVE this studio. I can honestly say it is one of my favourite activities of the week coming to class. The teachers are very encouraging and it is obvious they care about your progress. Fear not if you 'can't touch your toes' etc. the majority of classes are accessible for all levels & you won't find a competitive atmosphere here; there is something for everyone & everyone is welcome :-)

I attended both the pregnancy yoga class and lunchtime express flow class with Rebeca earlier this year throughout my entire pregnancy up until 34 weeks when I finished up for maternity leave. Rebeca was an excellent teacher and took the time to tailor her classes for me. I learned an immense amount of techniques for the preparation of labour and… birth and I truly believe it was these teachings that allowed me to deliver my daughter safely and calmly into the world with no pain relief and in a very short time. I cannot thank Rebeca enough and when I return to work I will be back for my

Well let's start by the fact that A. I have no flexibility B. Am super unfit and this was my second ever yoga class (the first one being with a sudo religious, slightly creepy guy).

This was amazing! I suddenly realised why everyone has been going on and on about how amazing yoga is. Me and my boyfriend went along and were made to feel like we belonged and warmed / sweated up the room like two happy lizards.

Purrfect stress release and I felt like I was on my summer holidays in Spain for an hour, bliss.

Faking summer anyway I can.... I am a self-confessed sun worshipper, and although I flamin' love Scotland & it's distinct 4 seasons (often in 1 day) I struggle over the winter months. You can imagine how delighted I am having now discovered hot yoga - an hour of being blissfully unaware of the world outside, with effects that survive long after you leave!

Warning-Not for the faint-hearted or heat-sensitive... temperature sits just under 40degrees, and you literally sweat buckets... I'm used to exercising in the Australian heat, however, I was close to fainting my 1st few times
