Little Oaks Pre School
Little Oaks Charity Pre-school is a long-established Early Years setting in Brackley, Northamptonshire. We offer Early Years care and education to children from 2 years (including funded 2 year olds, spaces permitting) to school age. We are very proud of all that Little Oaks has to offer and place the well being and development of the children in our care at the heart of all that we do.

We know that all children and all families are different and try to make everyone feel equally welcome and equally valued. We understand that raising children is a tough job and aim to support, not judge families. We know that children thrive when everyone works together and we always respect the fact that parents and carers know their children best.
Services
Little Oaks Pre-School is a long established pre-school serving the Northamptonshire town of Brackley and the surrounding villages. We currently offer pre-school care to children from approximately 2.5 years of age. We offer a supportive, positive, well resourced and stimulating environment, both inside and out, where children can learn and develop at their own pace, and in their own way, thereby achieving their full potential.
Naomi joined Little Oaks in 2016 as a Keyperson in Pre-school. She has a background in paediatric nursing and came into Early Years in 2009. She has been Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) for the setting since 2018 and took on the role of Early Years Manager in 2021. Naomi is also Little Oaks' Designated Safeguarding Lead.
The Early Years Foundation Stage is the period of education for all children from birth to the end of the reception year (their first year at school). This important stage provides children with secure foundations for continued learning. There is a national framework for this stage which is used by all OFSTED registered preschools, nurseries, playgroups and childminders to support children's learning during this time.
In Northamptonshire there is a universal offer of up to 15 funded hours for all 3 and 4 year olds. In addition, some 2 year olds are entitled to similar funding. Little Oaks cannot guarantee the full 30 hours entitlement if we are running at full capacity. However we may be able to offer additional sessions over the 15 funded hours, depending on availability in the year your child attends.
Little Oaks Pre-School has a separate, highly valued Fundraising Committee, made up of volunteers from the parent and carer body who dedicate their spare time to raising money for the Pre-School by planning events throughout the year, from cake bakes through to Fun Days and social events for children, parents and families.

Both of my children have attended this pre-school and I/we have enjoyed and appreciated the whole experience immensely. From our first trip to even asking about a place for our eldest, Little Oaks have been brilliant. The office staff were amazing at explaining the process, when we could apply, how to apply and what we were eligible for, then we met the staff, got a home visit and they were fantastic at not only thier job, but putting our mind at rest that our children are in the best setting, nothing is too much trouble. They actively encourage a learn through play environment and my two have

My 3 year old attends play group here and loves it. The staff are brilliant and he is really thriving here. My youngest also has his name down to start next year. It's a great environment and I'm delighted I chose Little Oaks for my boys.

My daughter started in the Play Group Room at Little Oaks in January 2015 and loves attending 3 afternoons a week. Staff were great when she initially had some wobbles about being away from mummy and I was always reassured to know that within minutes of leaving she was happily settled. My daughter has grown in confidence and is developing her independence in this safe and nurturing environment. The Pre-School is well-resourced and staff are experienced, knowledgeable and approachable.
