Tingewick Pre-school has evolved over the years into a stimulating and happy environment run by skilled staff who work in high adult-to-child ratios. We are at the centre of the local community and we give children aged 2-5 the chance to make friends, learn through playing and prepare for starting school.
Services
To enhance the development and education of children under statutory school age in a parent-involving, community-based group. To work within a framework which ensures equality of opportunity for all children and families. We currently have a team of seven trained and experienced staff members delivering the Early Years Foundation Course to children, with the emphasis on having fun and learning through play always remaining paramount.
Children are welcome to join our pre-school any time from the age of 2 and can stay with us right until transferring to Foundation/Reception or Year 1 at Primary School. Government funding (FFE) is available to help with fees from the term after your child's 3rd birthday for up to 5 sessions (15 hours) per week for a maximum of 38 weeks a year.
We see the lunch club as an extension of the children's learning and are keen to promote healthy eating as well as a chance to develop their social skills (which will be good practice for starting school). The lunch club is open to all children attending Pre-school that day and is run by members of staff to ensure the children are well supervised.
