An enjoyment of working with young children is essential. An ability to motivate and chat to children, a willingness to work as part of a team, a sunny disposition, good communication skills and a sense of humour are all highly desirable. Services
All children are different. They have their own unique experiences they bring to the setting. For example their family and home life, cultures, experiences and interests. When creating and providing the learning environment these factors need to be considered as every child is an individual. At Padbury Pre-School we believe all children learn through play.
The PFA raises money for both the preschool and the school. The money raised is much needed and over the years has enabled us to buy valuable resources for the children and the staff. Everyone is welcome to join us whether it be for regular meetings, as a member of the committee or a volunteer at an event.
We offer five early starter sessions from 8.45 - 9.00am and five morning sessions which are three hours in length. We also provide an hour long lunch club that can either extend a morning session or give the option to extend the length of an afternoon session. We currently close at 1pm on Fridays. We also provide four afternoon sessions allowing flexibility and children the option of preparing for school by attending a 'school day'.
We are always looking to add members to our pre school bank staff team for ad hoc sessions. Padbury Pre-school opened in 2008 and has continued to grow and run successfully ever since. The pre-school operates as a not for profit company (limited by guarantee) registered with Companies House and we hold charitable status. We employ seven part-time staff and provide services to many local, 2-5 years old children.
