The best way to find out if our preschool is right for your family, is to come and meet us and get a feel for our setting. We are a small rural preschool in Blakesley, on the outskirts of Towcester. We accept children from 2 years of age. We open Monday - Friday 9am-3pm term time. We offer a morning session 9am-1pm where the children have a packed lunch brought in from home, or an all day session 9am-3pm.
All children aged 3 or 4 years old are offered 15 hours per week funded childcare by the government. This comes into effect the term after their 3rd birthday. All hours that fall out of the eligible funding will be charged at our current hourly rate. Additional funding is available for your child's early education setting to support your child if they are entitled to the EEYP.

Services
They are kept informed of their childrens' progress through parents evenings, written diaries and discussion. We work with the 'In the moment planning' approach. This method believes that children have a natural desire to learn and to explore, and our practitioners are here to help and support them in this.
It's a voluntary committee run charity. That means the committee are charged with hiring and HR, setting prices, raising funds, marketing, liaising with local bodies, and everything that you would expect to run a business. That also means that without a committee there would be no preschool! That really depends on what your role is and what particular projects you wish to be part of.
Within the group, all children are supported in developing their potential at their own pace. Our keyworker system enables us to ensure a planned curriculum tailored to the needs of each individual child. Stage (EYFS) and prepares them for the National Curriculum, which begins at Year 1 in primary school.
Our members of staff are Kat, a level 6 practitioner, Karyn, Susan, Keiley, Sam and Hayley who are our level 3 practitioners and Francesca who is a level 2 practitioner, currently training for her level 3. All members of staff are Paediatric First Aid trained. We are a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance, and are up to date with current training strategies.
Blakesley Pre-School offers sessions five days per week (Monday to Friday either 9am to 1 pm or 9am to 3pm) during term time for children aged 2 to 4 years old. You can decide how long to stay and you can talk to the staff and other children and have a good look around. There is no charge for these "coming to see" sessions.
