The Alexandra Hotel offers AA 2 Star accommodation and is conveniently situated on Eastbourne's elegant sea-front, with superb views of the promenade and sea. The Hotel is under new management, providing comfortable accommodation with excellent English food and a friendly atmosphere. My little room on the third floor had wonderful sea view, the bedsheets were spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. The floors were a bit squeaky, but that didn't make my stay at Alexandra Hotel less enjoyable. The gentleman at the reception gave me useful information on places worth visiting and was most welcoming and kind.

We were given small but clean rooms with the features and decor of times long past. Friendly staff welcomed us and ushered us through the traditional breakfast in the following morning. We were quite happy given the moderate price and excellent location.

The staff are very attentive and polite. Room is comfortable and clean. Needs abit updating though. The food is adequate and reasonable choice. Very tasty. I would like to come back again. Very friendly hotel.

We spent one night here at the end of our walk on the SDW. Our rooms overlooked the ocean and the view was gorgeous. The price was modest, but the room and bathroom need updating. The shower was not good. Hot and cold water faucets are reversed for some reason (cold on the left) in both sink and tub. We left before breakfast. There are several restaurants nearby for lunch or dinner.

Stayed at this hotel for one night. First day the staff were lovely. In the morning there was a gentleman he looked friendly but he gave me an expired parking ticket and I didn’t check it because I trusted him. As a result I was issued with a PCN when I went back to show him he completely denied that he didn’t give me the ticket like this, horrible man!. Am going to report this issue to BBC and Watchdog so that what happened to me doesn’t happen to anyone. Do not trust no one at this hotel when u visit. Otherwise rooms are ok for the price.

This hotel is one of the best around. The staff are all welcoming and friendly. Winston, Colin and Monika are warm and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. You can hire mobility scooters here as well for your holiday. All in I recommend a stay here.

Lovely stay with great hospitality by Winston who gave us 5* service. Also good breakfast service by Colin who made sure we had fresh cooked vegetarian breakfast as requested. Definitely a home away from home.

Warm friendly helpful staff. Hotel well kept & ultra clean for its age. Clean airy bright room with fresh clean bedding. Definitely do with better pillows. Kindly changed our pillows but they were still hard & very flat😣that was the only downside of our stay
Every meal was very well presented & thoroughly enjoyed it😊
The £1 parking every day was a huge bonus & very unexpected as we weren't informed when we booked which was a shame as we paid the full parking fee on the first day
A must return very soon Very much appreciated for being so well looked after

The hotel is 2stars it needs attention in places,here for a turkey and tinsel week had to put two members of our group in the next door hotel as the rooms were not suitable. We advised the management of our concerns and complaints and we were advised they would be dealt with.
Complaints dealt with when you have large groups you need to wake up, and make the group have the best time possible.
