Services
We aim to achieve this by treating you as an individual. We know from experience that each visitor has different needs and we try to accommodate them all. But we can only anticipate services or requirements most of the time, should you not find something please ask our staff. They are recruited and trained to respond helpfully, it may be that we have what you need but need a helping hand.
The Hotel is owned by Eric & Joanne Godfrey who have been hoteliers in Eastbourne for over 20 years. Eric comes from a family of local hoteliers while Joanne gained her customer service experience during her many years with British Airways.

Hugh acquired his customer service training at Walt Disney World in Orlando USA, then from Disney Cruise Lines, before moving back to his home town of Eastbourne and joining the team at The Devonshire Park Hotel.

It has since been sympathetically refurbished to make your seaside break as relaxing as possible. In addition to 29 en suite bedrooms, the Hotel has six larger suites, three of which have a private patio perfect for the long summer evenings Eastbourne enjoys.

Have stayed numerous nights at the Devonshire. The staff are fantastic, very much home from home feel. The food and restaurant is superb - really a cut above! Rooms are a little tired in places, but they all have king size beds and are very well appointed (flat screen TV's, DVD players, coffee/tea/water, Gilchrist toiletries etc.) Book directly with the hotel for the best rates.

The spacious room and bathroom (with separate shower and bath) were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was superb. What made the stay really enjoyable was the management making our room available early, to allow us to change prior to attending a wedding. They also allowed us to park awhile after we checked out, so that we could take a walk before heading home.

Godfrey's restaurant within the Hotel had good reviews, I went there after going to the Congress Theatre opposite. It was good! Presentation and quality spot on, pleasant service and excellent value. I look forward to a return visit soon.

Although this hotel is rated 3 star, it is better than many 4 star hotels. Fantastic food, great service and a good bar. Also has a lovely courtyard at the back, ideal for enjoying a cream tea on a sunny afternoon. I enjoyed a delicious dinner there last week and looking forward to going back for cream tea tomorrow.
