Our school is a popular voluntary controlled Church school set in the heart of our village community. We are a co-educational establishment catering for approximately 140 pupils where each child is special, nurtured and unique. As Headteacher, I feel privileged to lead this school forward into an exciting future.
We are delighted that you are considering Fritwell Church of England School for your child as we believe that the journey of primary education is a very special one. We have very strong links with parents, which are based on mutual trust and respect and our desire to do our best for the pupils within our care.

Services
As a village primary school that serves the needs of the community, we have a different number of children in each year group. This means we have some mixed-age classes. Please see below for how our classes are organised this year. Our Tiddlers and Minnows are housed in our Early Years unit where there are opportunities for all of the children to work and play together.
We would love to hear from you and encourage you to contact the office (01869 345283) to speak to our team. Please note that in 2020-2021 we will be offering some 30 hour extended entitlement places. However, we are stipulating that it is a 15 hour minimum take-up. Our Early Years Unit is an environment that is welcoming, stimulating and child-centred.
Four million people in the UK are living in food poverty, and at the same time almost one third of all food is thrown away. Community fridges accept surplus food from local businesses or members of the public and make it freely available to all members of the community. A successful Community Fridge will cut food waste, build stronger bonds within the community and provide people with nutritious, perishable food items.
FOFS is our thriving parents, friends and teachers association. It stands for Friends of Fritwell School. FOFS organsise many successful events throughout the year bringing together the school community with the wider community. Through through their hard work the school and children have benefited from the money raised.
Safeguarding our children is paramount. We follow County and National guidelines and policies. Our Head Teacher, Mr Jonathan Hart, is our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in school, Mrs Jo Ejiogu is our Designated Safeguarding Lead Deputy and Mr Martyn Simmonds is the Governor responsible for Safeguarding.
