Anna co-wrote a practical visual workbook with photos to assist people taking these classes (published & inexpensive). It is for anyone with backache (whether lower or upper) or who wants a gentle therapeutic yoga course, e.g. to overcome stroke or stress. I offer it as weekly classes, once a week for 6 weeks, or as private lessons for one or two people.

Private lessons (unless I come to you) are at 24 Grange St are off Fulford Road, towards the river, opposite Cemetery Road and the city end of Fulford Road. If walking from town along New Walk by the river, go up Grange Garth steps, turn right and follow the horseshoe road onto Grange St.
Yoga is an ancient self-therapy to "still the thought waves of the mind", bringing inner peace. Yoga means the union of body, mind and spirit. It is not a religion. Stretching, breathing and relaxing all improve the circulation of the body's energy. Improved energy levels bring better health. Postures are the best known aspect of yoga.
