About Mylnhurst Preparatory School - The Mylnhurst Campus is situated in a quiet corner of South West Sheffield, surrounded by mature trees and rolling lawns.
My name is Catherine Thompson and I chair the Board of Directors at Mylnhurst. Originating in Lancashire I came to Sheffield University to study law and became one of the many graduates who choose to remain in this green city. I practised as a commercial litigation solicitor in Sheffield for a decade before having children.
To assist with lessons or other duties, as required and by agreement. To go about all duties in line with school policy. To report any injuries, illness, or incident in line with school policy. To promote the highest standards of behaviour and safe conduct of all children in line with school policy.
At Mylnhurst Preparatory School we are proud of our heritage and in particular our historical site which dates back to 1883 and has been providing a base for high quality education since the school was founded in 1933.

Every Tuesday morning between 9.30 and 11am children at Mylnhurst Little Learners from Pre-school and the local community gather together for a morning of activities, singing, dancing and fun. Each half term we make use of our beautiful onsite pool where a specialist session with trained staff offer a fun and engaging swim session for your little one.

If your looking for exceptional this is the place! My son is thriving here, he was educationally behind before starting here and within a few months they have him at the level he should be! He’s gone from being miserable at school to super excited about school! The love care and attention showed to him has been second to none! He calls his teacher miss honey at home (from Matilda) which I think says it’s all! First class education and worth every penny!
