Founded in 1966 The Psalter Lane Nursery is a long established private nursery in Sheffield. The nursery is sited in a Victorian building and gardens where children are able to grow and develop their learning, skills and knowledge. We provide day care for children between the ages of 12 months to 5 years for 38 weeks of the year.
We also provide an activity school during the holiday periods. The overall aims and objectives of the nursery are to enable all children to achieve and develop to their full potential in the 7 areas of the Early Years Foundation stage, through high quality teaching and interactions and learning in a stimulating, inclusive and enabling environment using a play based approach.

The Psalter Lane Nursery provides a warm homely environment within which your child is able to grow in confidence as they explore and experiment with their individual personalities. Supported and encouraged by qualified staff, your child is enabled to flourish and develop a high self esteem that will become their foundation for life.

The nursery is sited in a lovely Victorian building surrounded by a large garden and incorporates four classrooms where your child will progress through on their journey with us. We provide full day care for children between the ages of twelve months and five years for 38 weeks of the year.
This is our 12 months to 2-year-old room. Offering a gentle start to their first experiences away from home, our cosy room provides a warm. Our dedicated practitioners offer highly personalised care to all children, enabling them to develop a secure attachment which will underpin their growing sense of discovery.
As the children's sense of self begins to grow, they will flourish on the unique homely atmosphere apparent throughout the nursery. Our Tree Tops room has a maximum of 12 children aged 2-3 years old. The children explore a broad range of activities as they develop their self confidence and self esteem.
Please find below our gallery of photos which give a good introduction to the Garden Room. This is our second pre school room. This classroom has the added benefit of French doors which lead to the outdoors allowing for a free flow environment.

This is a superb nursery. I am really happy with my daughter being at Psalter lane nursery.The staff are caring and friendly. My doughter has formed excellent relationships with the staff.My son was at this nursery when ha was a child and he is 6 years old now and he still has a good memory from his nursery.I am really please I chose it , based on a friend’s recommendation. Thank you for all your hard work. I would recommend to all.
