We want you to know that Optivet Referrals is operating at the 'new normal' during these challenging times - please continue to refer your cases and send us your inquiries as per normal. We have a non-contact system in place for pet owners attending our hospital - we take their safety seriously. Our new service allows us to consult alongside referring vets in practice or provide a triaging service for clients at home to avoid travel if possible.
This gives you the opportunity of adding a new service to your clients with the back up of a specialist referral centre. If we cannot make a diagnosis remotely, we can then see the client on site with the cost of the telemedicine consultdiscounted against the price of our normal consult. When you refer a case to us, we want you to feel that we are just an extension of your practice.

Services
Optivet Referrals was founded in 2006 by Robert Lowe, who had been running a successful ophthalmology referral clinic as part of a first opinion practice. In order to improve the care and treatment of his patients, Rob decided to move to premises dedicated to referral work, away from the hustle and bustle of a general veterinary practice.
Chester began to become his true bubbly self and is living life to its full potential. We are all in awe of all your efforts and would like to give you a massive thank you for all your work and love for animals. I would just like to say thank you for the wonderful job you have done at giving my little Mousey her sight back.
There are 6 consulting rooms which include 2 ophthalmology examination rooms. This allows the clinicians to have the necessary time to gain a full history from the client and examination of the patient. The reception is spacious with separate cat and dog waiting areas. We hope that this will reduce any anxiety of the patients during their visit.
We are always looking for veterinary professionals and support staff to join the Optivet team. If you love being a veterinary professional, you think you could own one of these positions and want to be a part of a Practice which is going somewhere, we would love to hear from you. Optivet Referrals and Island Referrals are independent referral centres staffed by a very friendly and inclusive team - more of a family than a corporate environment.
Optivet has invested heavily over the last 10 years in order to remain at the forefront of the disciplines we are involved in. In Opthalmology we have an an extensive ability to be able to do glaucoma surgery using the latest lasers and have developed a variety of techniques in order to prolong the life and vision of an eye and keep an animal as comfortable as possible while retaining that vision.

Avoid this place. Very rude staff especially Simon. Animal welfare is not there priority profit is.
Simon is a very rude man. I have a email to prove and a recorded telephone conversation. Totally unprofessional
In response to your claims.
I am exempt from wearing a face covering.
I explained this on arrival. Saying I have a disability. And not all disabilities are visible. So after this I was requested by another member of staff to wear a face mask again. So I then explained I have a disability and that you was making me feel uncomfortable by keep asking!
So unfortunately I think you need

Rob and his team have been treating my cat Max for over 18mths after being diagnosed with Cancer around his eye. After his first operation 18 months ago, unfortunately the Cancer returned and on 29th November this year his eye had to be removed. The expertise and genuine care for his feelings and comfort was amazing and I will always be truly grateful . Thank you.

If I could put zero stars I would. The vet had zero compassion when delivering bad news. I have never experienced this before in the vet world. Delivering bad news with a smile, happy face and happy tone of voice was hugely confusing. 2 days later then finding out nothing had been done and had to go to another vet practice. The one good thing they had done. Anderson Moores really are amazing. Really showed the poor service we experienced at optivet. Bill came through and they just added more on without telling us. Even though it was already a bad time for us, Optivet made it worse. Will never go

Thank you to all the brilliant vets we saw over a period of 5-6 weeks when our cat had a torn cornea following a fight. Andrea, Marguerite and the other two vets who treated him were always reassuring, knowledgeable, caring and we are really grateful to you all. Thanks also to the great receptionists who were very helpful too. Well done all - great service. We now have one happy and healthy cat thanks to you guys 👏

We've used Optivet Referrals twice so far. The first time was in 2016. We had a Rabbit that had Glycoma in both eyes and underwent an operation. His quality of life improved greatly as a result. The second time was 2021 as a result of our pet having a cruciate ligament operation. The whole process is very professional and they take great care of the animals in their care.

The best vets I’ve ever been to! The empathy and supportiveness the vets offer to both the owner and pet is extremely comforting. Every vet that I encountered made the nerve-wrecking circumstances as calming as they could with their professionalism and genuine desire to listen. If you take your pet here I assure you they will be in the best possible hands. Such an outstanding vets that I was willing to commute from London to Portsmouth numerous times with my pet. Thank you so much to everyone at Optivet 🤗

By far the best vets I have ever visited. The level of professionalism is extremely calming and reassuring, especially as an owner that worries as my dog is extremely anxious at the vets. I never felt for one second that my dog was not in the best hands. They diagnosed and treated my dog quickly and efficiently. The best thing about Optivet, in my opinion, is how attentive they are to your pets needs. It’s evident from the onset that they really know what they’re doing which puts your mind at ease. They go above and beyond for the owner and pets, professionally adapting procedures to cater
