Managed by Malcolm and Tisha Throp who have over 35 years experience, the team has grown to over 10 dedicated animal lovers and with Malcom and Tisha living on site this ensures there is 24 hour cover for all your pets needs. Our business is staffed by a long serving, dedicated team as well as a kennel manageress and office manageress to ensure every aspect of your booking and your pets stay runs smoothly.
Set within it's own grounds, there are 60 spacious purpose built kennels, all heated and with their own large, covered runs. In addition to the minimum two daily walks in the local countryside right on our doorstep, we have two large exercise pens for daily play and socialisation. Both Malcolm and Tisha have an extensive knowledge in the care of dogs, having been involved with dogs for most of their lives.
At Adel Boarding Kennels and Cattery, we ensure that your pet is properly cared for while you are away. We offer the very best in holiday accommodation for your cat. We offer spacious, purpose built, heated accommodation each with Individual covered outdoor runs with safety corridors should your cat get too curious.
It is no accident and testament to our care and attention that the vast majority of our business is of a repeat nature or via personal recommendation. We have been boarding our dogs at Adel Boarding Kennels for the past 8 years during which time they have always left us with wagging tails - and greeted us in the same way on our return.

Whilst booking via telephone i specifically asked how many nights i would be paying for, told 4 nights and i have until 4.30pm to collect, got there at 2.30ish and was told because i was collecting after 12 i would have to pay for an extra day and it would be £64 not £51.20! Never mentioned this when booking, might be a good idea to make sure all staff are on the same page with regards to charges and timings, also cash only is a pain. My boy smelt awful as well.

We boarded our boxer. I was worried he would fret and not settle. He was absolutely fine and well looked after and they gave us feedback on how he was during his stay. They did say they thought he had lost a little weight so they immediately increased his meals.
Not sure he had a ball and wanting to dash back any time soon but came home looking fine and bright eyed!

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PET HERE! Take it from my experience this is the worst place I have ever let my dog stay. The hygiene facilities are the poorest and the staff unapproachable. I left my dog here and when we collected him he had extremely bad diarrhoea and a horrible odour. His diarrhoea was so bad there was blood in his poo. We had to go to the vets and pay for expensive vet bills and medication. This is not what you expect when leaving a dog in kennels.

I send my cats here. They are well looked after. They have plenty of space. There is both an enclosed area for sleeping with a heater, if needed and an open area for playing in.
I worry less, while I am away because there accommodation is of a comfortable standard. Food is also of a similar quality that I myself feed my cats.

We are going away in December and WILL NOT BE TAKING OUR BEAGLE BACK TO THESE KENNELS.
Last December, we left our young dog there for 10 days. He was clearly upset when we left him and massively traumatised when we picked him up. His fur was falling out, his nails were long and he stank to high heaven. The staff were uncooperative and would not disclose how he had been. They were unhelpful and disinterested in our dog or us.
The kennels smelled of disinfectant and our dog was clearly and visibly upset and sulked for days afterwards. Needless to say, we WILL NOT BE RETURNING to this poorly equipped
