We would like to introduce ourselves as the new owners of Mount Pleasant Farm, following in the worthy footsteps of Sandra and Alex Robertson who owned and ran the kennels and cattery since 1997 and have an enviable reputation in the area. First of all we would like to reassure all existing & new clients that they can expect the very high standards of care and attention for their animals that have been in place for the past 24 years.
We have many years of experience & we have shared our lives with German Shepherds, Labradors and Border Collies - now we are under the thumb of a rather regal spoilt Pekingese and a ragamuffin looking terrier (or is it terror!). Previously we have bred and showed Abysinnian cats and whilst we were living in France for 10 years started a very successful cattery.

Services
At Mount Pleasant Farm Boarding Kennels & Cattery near Keighley in West Yorkshire, our professionals provide the best in professional care for your cats, dogs or other small animals. Our boarding kennels and cattery are Veterinary and Local Authority Approved and we set high standards. Our Kennels are purpose built to the highest standards, each kennel having access to it's own exercise area.
Our Kennels are purpose built to the highest standards, each kennel having access to it's own exercise area. Whilst staying with us we will look after your dog as if it was our own. Our canine guests are walked twice a day either individually or together if they come as a family group. This allows the staff and dogs to have individual time on a one to one basis, and also time to assess the health of the dog.
Because the Bordetella variety of Kennel Cough can be very unpleasant for the dogs which contract it, we insist on all dogs boarding with us being vaccinated against this. Infectious canine tracheo-bronchitis (Kennel cough) is a highly contagious upper respiratory tract infection found in dogs. It manifests itself when the dog develops a dry, harsh cough.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Value
This place is fantastic! I use them for day boarding and long stays whilst we’re on holidays. Stuart & Carol are very friendly, very accommodating and treat my fur baby like one of their own. Would (& actually do on a regular basis) recommended Mount Pleasant to anyone looking for a home away from home for their dogs or cats.

Very disappointed with this kennels since Sandra and Alex sadlyy retired. They were absolutely brilliant. New owners seem more interested in money . We were quoted £16 for 1 overnight stay for our dog on the occasion of our daughters wedding. Dropped her off at 11am on the Saturday morning along with her food, food dish and water bowl and her own bed as she is very fussy. Collected her at about 10-30 am the following morning to be told the charge was £32 as she was there for 2 days. In fact less than 24 hours. Her dishes were still in the kitchen. When we got home she drank 1 full dish of water

Set high above Keighley, this is a professionally run, no-nonsense boarding kennels. The facilities are pretty much identical to what I've seen at other kennels and the staff clearly know their business well. The dogs are walked, but only on-lead, and there is no large enclosed exercise area for them, just a largish lawn that comes with the associated farmhouse. After the very wet autumn of 2019 this area was pretty saturated on the November and December stays for our dog.
