Charles started this Practice in 1976. Early in his career he began focusing on the equine field and quickly gained the respect of a considerable following. Charles has set up a program of health care and disease prevention for the equine division within this Practice, that he reviews regularly.
It is with the support of the modern equipment at Riverside Veterinary Surgery that he is able to offer a wide range of diagnostic support and appropriate treatment.Charles is adamant that an early diagnosis, treatment and support for both the animals and the owners are of paramount importance in achieving the most satisfactory results in every case.

We offer spacious 15 minute consultation slots, and offer both veterinary surgeon and veterinary nurse appointments 6 days a week. For our Bespoke Riverside Vet Plan clients, we offer free Unlimited Veterinary Nurse consultations and discounted Veterinarian consultations. From consultation room to further tests, we are able to perform a wide range of services; all of our equipment is based on site.

Fleas are a very common problem in cats and dogs, and most will suffer from a flea burden at some point in their lives. Cats are more prone to fleas than dogs, with 1:10 dogs and 1:5 cats being affected at any one time. We recommend preventative treatments for the control of fleas. A monthly spot-on can protect your pet and family from the nuisance of flea bites.
To help prevent the spread of canine diseases, we recommend that every dog is vaccinated from the age of 8 weeks. Vaccines contain harmless forms of viruses and bacteria which cause the diseases that you dog needs to be protected against. Following a vaccination, your dogs immune system generates a protective response which will help to prevent the dangerous forms of these infections making your dog ill.
