Abbey vets provide care for dogs, cats, children's pets, backyard poultry, exotics, horses and ponies. I was six years old when I decided to become a vet. I have always loved animals and shared my life with them. Pets are part of my family and no home I have lived in has been without a dog, cat, rabbit tortoise or guinea pig.
All our staff are pet owners, and everyone at Abbey Vets are here to help you with your pet's healthcare. Collectively we see our role being to guide you through all aspects of their care from the essentials like vaccination and neutering to decisions over the life stages of your furry best friends and family members.

Booked an appointment for my 7 month old puppy to have his claws trimmed as they were overly long. After consulting with the vet she agreed they were long and he was taken to a separate room to have them clipped upon bringing him back she declared that he was a little stressed at having them done and had only managed a quick trim which is why I had taken him to a professional in the first place. After paying the bill and leaving the premises I realised that none of his claws apart from one had been clipped however was charges for a service that wasn't given and my pup was still uncomfortable when

Every time I go to this vets it never ever goes smoothly. The first time I went I had paid £237 for what they believed was a UTI infection.I managed to pay for the medication for my dog and they tried to make me pay for an excess payment twice (so I spoke to my insurance and thankfully got it sorted). After he had finished his medication from the UTI he was still ill so I took him back down and it was actually cancer. So when they gave me the medication for his cancer i asked the vet if it was still classed as the same condition (UTI) because he didn’t actually have a UTI and he said yes, I

My Dog ripped one of her claws off and had to go in for a clean and bandage. She went in a total of 3 times to have a bandage removed and replaced. On the 3rd occasion my Father asked if there was a balance to clear and was told by the vet NO. Lo and behold and invoice came from the vets asking for a further £78 to be paid for the bandages. All this on top of the £70 that I had already paid. £148 for 3 bandages!! I am in the wrong profession. I have complained on numerous occasions yet they still pester me for the balance. Needless to say, I will not use this vet again. RIP OFF.

Great vets when it comes to caring for my dogs and rabbits, but the 1 Star is for how long you have to wait. Been coming here for 5 years and never been seen in time, don’t mind if it is 5/10 minutes late, but it’s always 30mins+. Not fair on my dogs that have to wait around feeling anxious and scared. Better book in over the phone and turning up 30 minutes late and maybe, just maybe you won’t have to wait long. Also it’s good to see that they only reply to the positive reviews.
