Services
Founded in 1988, SAS Water has over 30-years experience of working with businesses across a wide range of industries, including household names such as JCB, Uniper and Balfour Beatty. The company was founded in Derbyshire by Keith Froggatt and is now owned and managed by Lizzie Ward, Keith's daughter and run from offices in Leek, Staffordshire.
At SAS Water we have experienced WRAS approved plumbers with the capability to plan, apply for approval, and install RPZ Valves. Reduced Pressure Zone assemblies - commonly known as RPZ valves - are used to keep contamination or pollution out of your water supply. They allow water to travel one-way through your system, preventing backflow.
Your business has a duty to both understand and minimise risk. Your company has a legal obligation to mitigate the risk of Legionella under the Health and Safety at Work Act Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (CoSHH). Technical guidance can be found in HSG274 relating to the control of Legionella in water systems.
Our bespoke professional risk assessments and integrated risk management programmes take a holistic approach to the control and management of Legionella within your water systems. SAS risk assessment reports provide an easily understood, comprehensive overview of the water system, including diagrams, schematic drawings and photographs to illustrate system conditions.
SAS has access to a UKAS accredited laboratory. This allows us to carry-out a comprehensive sampling and analysis service, testing for Legionella, potability, ph, coliforms, e-coli, pseudomonas aeruginosa elements and more. Upon completion of analysis, a certificate is produced and we supply a document detailing our recommendations.

Like many businesses we closed our office doors in March 2020 as soon as we were able to make arrangements for our 24/7/365 call handling staff to be able to work from home. The office was only then visited by limited staff member to complete tasks such as fire alarm tests, back ups and check building security.
As it became clear that we would be returning to a more office based working arrangement in May / June 2021, we realised that we were not testing our office water supplies for legionella especially given the lack of use over the preceding year.
As a BNI member, it was very timely to see

I have known the team at SAS Water for some time and I have spoken to their customers. It is clear from those conversations that Lizzie Ward and her staff are always helpful, provide a vital (potentially life-saving service) and are keen to educate people by sharing their knowledge. I do not hesitate to recommend SAS Water to anyone requiring legionella control and related water safety services.
