Saffron Frameworks creates custom bicycles that are as beautiful as they are functional. Each Saffron frame is unique and every one is hand-crafted especially for you. By first understanding what you want from your bicycle, together we design a frame matching your geometry and cycling goals. Then, after some measuring, cutting, brazing, aligning, polishing and painting I turn that design into your perfect travelling partner on two wheels.

We build just a few frames each year, and we treat each one with the same love and care. In 2009, I followed my dream of becoming a frame builder. I'd reached a turning point in my life where I was unsatisfied with my daily routine and so I decided to bring my love of bicycles to the forefront and get my hands dirty by creating a tangible object.

Cannot thank Matthew and Andrew at Saffron enough for the way they handle business! My bike is an absolute peach of a machine that feels brand new every time i ride it. I should of done this sooner, however coming up to almost a year since I picked up my very own Saffron Frame Works I can now give my honest review.
ITS AMAZING!!! I enjoyed the process from start to finish. From going to meet Matt and selecting my tubes, by deciding on the feel and characteristics of the ride, deciding on the paint (shout out to Phil Ashcroft and Cole Coatings, epic job!) and finally collecting my bike.
It took me two years to decide on a frame builder, going to different workshops and talks. Matt is the most impressive and knowledgeable frame builder I have had the pleasure

While I ultimately didn't buy a bike due to a blown boiler, i was expertly lead by the guys at the Saffron Frameworks through the whole process.
we had a couple of informal chats , regarding what I wanted from the bike, eg, from commuting . off roading. and then levels then it was on to the more technical aspects, and the actual process was explained.
The frame prices seemed very reasonable considering the expected lifetime. personally once i can afford it again, I'll definitely be contacting them about a custom frame bike...
