They have become GREEDY like the rest. I have been going to this bike shop for years as they are a local family run business.
The first 15/20 years I have been going there they were by far the best...! They looked after you and most of all cared for you.
The last 5/6 years my experience with them has been really bad, they dont care any-more and over charge service and prices. I am very upset and disappointed with them.

This shop gonna ripped your pockets. I ask the price to repair the wobbly paddle. The range is around £50-70. I went to the other cycle shop before visiting this place. Unfortunately, the first shop couldn’t make it since it’s full. Hence i ask the range price to fixed this. He told me should be around £20-30. But the best price this shop can offer is £55.

Like others, I normally wouldn't like to leave a negative review, but I was extremely disappointed with this shop. I paid 200gbp for a bike which, I now realise, is worth perhaps 50 pounds at best as it's already falling apart. It's a complete rip off - I suggest you look for a more reputable supplier

Avoid! Not a fan of writing bad reviews, but my experience at this shop trying to buy a 2nd hand bike was outstandingly bad. The shop employee didn't even take his headphones out while talking to me, kept berating and belittling me for my budget being "too low", kept showing me overpriced bikes I couldn't afford, and then promised me a discount if I payed in cash. I walked away without a bike.

Avoid.
Been to this shop twice now as I thought I’d give them another chance after my terrible first experience.
They will seriously try to rip you off. Both of the bikes I have looked at and test rode are actually cheaper at Halfords or elsewhere online brand new! When I say cheaper I mean by ALOT! the bike I was looking at had damage and I was told that the price reflected this… after looking online the price of the bike was £150-180 and he was charging me £300!!
The manager is also very rude always on his mobile, he also tried to rip me off when I came here initially. I don’t like

We are very unhappy with our experience here. Please consider other options before choosing to buy a bike from this shop. We purchased 2 bikes from here over the past few days- the first bike was a single speed hybrid bike for £200. I only rode it once and the whole left pedal fell off mid-spin and caused me to fall off in the middle of a road. I… took the bike back hoping to get a refund, as we were unhappy with the quality of the bikes they were clearly selling. After a long discussion, they made it clear they would not refund us for the bike but instead swap it for another one.

Advertised high spec bike on ebay at reduced price then sent lower spec bike and charged more than the lower spec'd bikes rrp. Refused to refund the amount overcharged and requested additional payment if i wanted the bike I order. Also requested additional £100 postage (after paying £30 postage) suggesting the bike would arrive damaged if extra 'insured' postage wasn't paid. Also requested photo id (driving licence or passport) for their 'records' which i felt wasn't necessary. Avoid.

Just about recommend, old bikes are really really expensive there , I was a hostage to fortune, I had a problem and after a bit of negotion they did swap it. Shame they do not sell their bangers at realistic prices, it would ensure they had a lot more happy punters and return business. Severe lack of smiles, it's as if the world is about to end in there. If you need a bike quick, then go there but be aware you will pay over the odds.

A friend first suggested this place to me, as after hunting all around hackney for a bike shop which would mend her Vintage Dutch bike, was so happy when she found this shop.
After hearing such great stories about here, I decided to check it out for myself. Outside were many retro looking bikes, and mountain bikes and inside even more. I spoke to the mechanical man about prices and fixing old bikes, and he was really knowledgable, welcoming and friendly.
Their prices are pretty average, £35 for a full service with a turn around of about three hours, and £15 for new wheels and tubes.

Camden Cycles sells used bicycles. You would think at 250 for a Dahon fold up bike it would be new. No way! You can get better deals on Ebay. True enough, a Dahon can run upwards of 400 quid so maybe I am being cheap.
All bikes come fully serviced here and there are loads to choose from. Some of the bikes are new but not very many.
You'll find dirt still in the bikes locked up and draped all different ways.

Bicycle may be the easiest way to get around London, but storing a bike in London is far from easy. If you're short on space, chances are your mode of transport is going to be chained up outside no matter the weather or crime rate. It doesn't really inspire one to spend lots of cash on a flashy bike.
Camden Cycles is good for people who need to store their bikes outdoors or who are cycling for the first time. Their bikes are all either second hand or last year's models. You could find something solid and sturdy for £100 if not cheaper, though they get the occasional fancy racing
