Walmer Bridge Day Nursery
Walmer Bridge Day Nursery is a privately owned, family run business situated in the original village primary school which dates back to the late 1800's. The Nursery is set in the lovely rural village of Walmer Bridge. Open from 7.30am - 6pm, 52 weeks of the year, only closing for bank holidays. We are registered with Ofsted for 59 children.

Each spacious room is well equipped with resources to suit their particular age group. Children are also encouraged to make use of our spacious outdoor play area to extend their learning in the fresh air and natural environment. Our experienced and dedicated staff help the children to become successful learners, confident individuals and caring contributors to society.
Services
Walmer Bridge Day Nursery has a strong team of highly qualified, motivated Nursery Practitioners who will develop secure relationships with you and your child. Each child is assigned a Key Worker. It is their role to develop close bonds with your child, share information, observe and track your child's development to ensure individual needs are met.
Our Baby Room is registered for 9 babies aged 0-24 months. We work on a ratio of 1 adult to 3 children, with continuity of staff being a priority. We provide a safe caring environment that is rich in learning experiences for babies. To stimulate babies' senses we provide multi-sensory equipment, such as Treasure Baskets, textured books and our cosy tepee area.
Our Nursery Room is registered for 16 children the staff ratio is 1 adult to 4 children. Nursery is a bright and airy room with access to the outdoor play area. This is a very exciting time for young children as they are developing relationships with their peers improving their physical skills and becoming more independent so they are able to access new challenging equipment at nursery.
Our Pre-school room caters for 24 children the staff ratio is 1 adult to 8 children. Pre-school children have access to a large room that is divided into different areas of learning. Each area of learning is designed to stimulate different areas of development for example the construction area encourages the children to use their imagination, whilst also enriching their language and fine motor skills.
Walmer Bridge Balloon Club offers Breakfast and After School Club during term time and a Holiday Club during the School Holidays. These clubs are open to children of Primary School age. We offer a pick up and drop off service to Longton Primary School and Little Hoole Primary School for Breakfast and After School Club.
