Services
We are a busy but friendly school for children aged 2, 3 and 4 years old, with lots going on! This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community. As Headteacher here for 5 years, I want our Nursery School to be the best it can be for all the children.
The Governor's at Stoneygate Nursery School are representative of our local community. Some are elected by the Local Education Authority (LEA), some are members of the local community and/or its organisations, some are members of staff, and some are parents of children accessing services at Stoneygate Nursery School.
If you would like to tell us what you think about us, you could use Ofsted's Parents View website at parentview.ofsted.gov.uk/. We also regularly ask parents for their feedback at the Nursery, for example we complete an annual nursery parent written consultation, regular consultations in children's centre services, a Parents Forum that meets termly and a comments box in reception.
As Key Workers develop relationships with children and families, they are able to provide written observations of children's activities. These observations form the basis of assessment at Stoneygate Nursery School. Your Key Person will be the initial point of contact regarding children's progress and development.
Our fantastic outdoor learning environment provides many opportunities for learning. Children are encouraged to use the outdoor areas to support their learning and development throughout the year. Being outdoors has a positive impact on children's sense of wellbeing and helps all aspects of children's development.
