Glenbrae Veterinary Clinic
Keeping the spirit of the original practice intact and allowing autonomy within the group. Wendy McGrandles continues to work in the clinic 2 days/week and will work with her team to bring the best integrated care for you and your pet. Alternative therapies are used successfully within our practice.

We want to provide our patients with the most up to date treatment options. We have an inhouse ultra-sonographer and oncologist service with a visiting orthopaedic specialist surgeon. Wendy McGrandles is a homeopathic specialist. GVCs was established in 1990. Our mission is to provide outstanding conventional and holistic care from a local friendly and caring team.
Services
1990 - Glenbrae Veterinary Clinic was founded by Wendy McGrandles. As a Glasgow graduate Wendy had spent several years gaining experience in a variety of practices before deciding to start a new clinic in Bearsden. 1997 - A second surgery was established in Dumbarton and the practice continued to go from strength to strength.
At Glenbrae we can't recommend regular health checks enough. Our experienced team will discuss your pet's health and any treatment options they may recommend. Protection against viruses and parasites is important in keeping your pet safe. At Glenbrae we have additional services which can help us to ensure your pet is safe without ever vaccinating or using products unnecessarily.
If our vets recommend further tests or surgical procedures they will give you a fully itemised estimate and discuss any options you may have. Direct claims can be submitted to certain insurance companies for accounts over 500. This is when the insurance company will pay us directly, this is not available for all companies though so please check with our team.
At Glenbrae Veterinary Clinics, we've designed our Holistic Healthcare Plan so that you as a pet owner can ensure your pets receive the very best quality preventative treatments, through a simple monthly direct debit. The concept of spreading the annual cost of household bills is a regular and well recognised feature of our daily lives - why should the essential preventative treatments for your pet be any different?
Geriatric pets aren't very mobile and may struggle in a clinic setting v Multi-pet households will find this invaluable. A home veterinary visit may be a new experience for you and your pet, but the familiar environment of your home can be the most comfortable, calming place for your pet to receive care.

I’ve been with Glenbrae for years. First with the dog and now with the 2 rabbits. Always great and always get convenient appointments. Only thing they need to do for me is hire an exotic vet :p

A very welcoming practice, takes their time to get to know the pets, as a first time dog owner they have helped and answered all queries I had. 100% recommend.

I have been a customer of Glenbrae since they first opened more than 25 years ago and had many cats and dogs over those years. Wendy and all the vets and staff at Glenbrae and fantastic and always go that extra mile in times of heartache and struggle when animals are sick. They are so caring and always make you feel that you are valued as a customer and that your pet (your babies) are the most important thing, which is vital for me to trust someone with my pets. Nothing is too much trouble. My dog has had tumours three times now and had numerous operations. Each time the vets and nurses have talked
