Either way, you may be concerned about what is going to happen and would like to know more about the risks involved. It is also worthwhile having a look at the Anaesthetic Consent Form and Pre-anaesthetic Testing Form that you can also find on the Downloads page. You can, if you wish, make an appointment to come to the surgery and speak to us about anaesthesia.
Our surgical suite is well equipped for both orthopaedic and major soft tissue surgery with modern anaesthetic machines and monitoring equipment including electrocardiographs and doppler blood pressure monitors. All surgery is performed under sterile conditions. We have a separate area for minor or non sterile procedures.
Cats are now the most popular pets in Britain, far outnumbering dogs. They now live longer than ever before and enjoy better health than they ever have; many cats will live to 15 years of age, a few will exceed 20 years. To keep them healthy and active for as long as possible it is important to ensure proper care, nutrition and observe routine health checks and vaccinations.
Parasites: fleas, other skin parasites, tapeworm and roundworm infections are common problems. We recommend worming cats every 3-4 months with drontal tablets or if you struggle administering tablets there is a spot on treatment available. Maintain protection against fleas and ticks with products such as Advocate, Fiprospot or Effipro.
Atopy is a skin hypersensitivity (allergy) reaction common in cats. The most common sign is hair loss with or without dermatitis. Diseases of the eosinophilia granuloma complex are thought to be allergic manifestations. Head and neck itching is common. Less common manifestations include self-mutilation, foot chewing, and recurrent ear infections.

Our chihuahua was showing signs of a potential stroke, it later didn't turn out to be the case, however the woman that answered the call was so unprofessional, very rude, extremely condescending and seemingly could care less, bearing in mind someone has just called her saying their dog is having a stroke, which time is of the absolute essence.
We were called back by a vet who was professional and was helpful, so she can have both those stars for being a star.
However, we're switching vets because I can't trust that I'm going to phone in an emergency and not feel like I'm a burden to the woman

Phoned in on an emergency
And the woman on the phone that answered the call was so unhelpful and had no interest in helping us or our sick pup which led to it dieing. She just wouldn't give us a chance to explain Anything and just wanting to argue with us . Just highly advise not to use this company attitude stinks

Booked in at this vet this morning before 10am for our 10am appointment using the practice covid booking procedure and was left for over an hour in the carpark. Later arriving appointments were being seen ahead of us and when I called to check why this was it was clear they had forgotten about us or not booked us in properly. This has happened to me inside the practice previously also. For some reason they called my wife later at 1137hrs when they finally realised that I had left, to "apologise and find out what happened" when it was clear we wouldn't be going back they couldn't get off the phone

Called vet regarding injured bird that flew into window bird had ring on foot. This vet wouldn’t take injured bird absolutely shocking behaviour for an outfit that’s meant love animals. However they said they would take injured bird if I’d pay bills what a lot of money grabbing people these are not interested in welfare of injured animal that flew into a window and couldn’t fly. Called S. P. C. A. they picked injured bird up within an hour. Call yourself vets that are interested in animals welfare what a joke shame on yous for loving money before an injured animal that you’s could have
