Ashley Veterinary Centre
At Ashley Vets your pet becomes part of the family. We pride ourselves in providing a warm and caring environment for you and your pet to visit and our friendly team are always ready to make you feel welcome. Ashley Veterinary Centre is a small practice owned by Doranne Ashley located in the Anniesland area of Glasgow.

Doranne is now living her dream by providing local people and their pets with a happy and friendly veterinary practice. We are always happy to see any kind of pet from cats and dogs to rabbits, small furries, birds or reptiles.
Services
Doranne qualified from Glasgow University Vet School in 1997 and has worked in a variety of small animal and mixed veterinary practices throughout her career.

Following a period of time working in England, Doranne moved home to her roots and after a long search for the perfect practice, is now fulfilling her dream to own her own veterinary practice and provide the local people of the west end of Glasgow and their pets with a gold standard service. She grew up spending time between England and Scotland, and is now happy to be settled north of the border!
Have a look at our information pages or pop into the practice for a chat with a member of the team. We can offer any advice for any type of pet so get in touch for more information on caring for your pet. Feel free to call us at anytime to discuss how we can help or for any more information you may need on the veterinary services we offer.
We all know what it is like to have a new kitten and we've experienced the joy, concern and commitment this new family member brings. Getting off to a good start with a new kitten will hopefully lay a solid foundation for a lifetime of mutual friendship and good times.

We encourage you to come and see us as soon as possible after acquiring your new kitten so we can meet and examine your kitten and discuss all of the aspects of kitten care, such as the vaccinations, worming, microchip, diet, training, insurance and parasite control. There are lots of things to check in a new kitten and we take care to be thorough but also friendly and gentle.
As dog owners ourselves we've experienced the joy, concern and commitment a new puppy brings. Getting off to a good start with a new puppy will hopefully lay a solid foundation for a lifetime of mutual friendship and good times. Creating the positive experience for our dogs starts with their very first visit to see us.
We have seen an upsurge in the popularity of this sweet and quirky pet over the last few years, and they can make a wonderful addition to your family. It is important to remember that rabbits are much more complex and delicate creatures than your average small mammal, so it is vital that you as their owner have all of the necessary information.

Great local vet. Had a problem with getting the appointment with my pet rat at my vets and Ashley came to our rescue. Friendly and professional team and very reasonable prices. Thank you!

The service that was provided today for my dogs Tanya and sam, was really good as the surgery seemed to be running behind schedule but the vet still took the time to do a lengthy examination and took the time to explain everything to us that she had done in in the examination with the dogs which was very helpful and informative

Stopped our boy cat getting our girl pregnant (again) for a fiver. He's healthy happy and was all done with in a day. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Would definitely let them cut my cats nuts off again.

Critical: Reliability, Responsiveness
Since moving to the west end a few months ago I’ve registered with a doctor, dentist and podiatrist. When I went along to register my dog with this practice, I was told they were not allowed to take on new clients “due to COVID.”

Vague with answers & quoted me for the services required then changed it again which is fine, After paying the bill when collecting my fur baby they then decided I had to pay more money, Which means the bill was changed 3 times. Having visited another vet in Bearsden they agreed the service I received was appalling after explaining the situation & Cost. Rubbish Vet!

Our cat was brought in by the SSPCA after being hit by a car. Staff were extremely helpful and treated him really well. They explained everything, and even let us in to see him. Care extended to them driving him to the Small Animal Hospital as he was not stable enough for us to take him. Cannot thank them enough.

Very friendly, helpful and inviting staff. Personable and reassuring manner throughout our appointment.
We were seen at short notice. Which was very accommodating of them.
We went in, without insurance. Hoping, cynically, that we weren't about to have treatments and services added on; to rinse money from us.
Those fears were, quickly, alleviated. The prices are affordable ...and we were given a quote for other services, should the need arise. Which were very reasonable.

Ashley vets is the best veterinary surgery I have ever been to and I have had pets my whole life. I recommend this Vets to anyone, the owner Doranne Ashley is the main vet and surgeon, and this lady knows her stuff. She is so very kind to the animals, even when they do not want to be her friend, and a bonus she is very understanding with silly pet owners like me.

As you would enter Ashley's you may be greeted by vet nurse Kim who is excellent at her job, where she meticulously goes about the filling your complimentary lifetime vet history card to fill in on every visit.

They will always

This is a great new vet in the west end of Glasgow. The staff are really friendly and helpful and they really care about your pet. There is free parking close by so it is really handy and easy to get to. I would recommend it!
