We are a community preschool in Bishop's Cleeve providing care for children aged two-years to school age. The pre-school is run by a committee who work with the Team Leader, Play Leaders and Play Assistants to provide the children with a fun approach to learning through play. We aim to provide pre-school activities to prepare children in the community for school.
Services
We give the children a happy, friendly and caring environment, in which they may develop. We aim to provide a good balance of social skills, to develop children's confidence and encourage them to join in activities and to mix with other children. We promote the children's right to be strong, resilient and listened to by creating an environment within the setting that encourages the individual to develop a positive self-image.
Elmtree Pre-School is a Community Pre-School, which is essentially a pre-school set up by a group of parents in a community who form a committee to run it. We are also a registered charity and we rely on fundraising to make money to purchase new equipment, fund activities and provide staff training.
Children may attend our pre-school from 2 years old and they can start throughout the year. If you are interested in a place at Elmtree Pre-school for your child, you should put their name on our waiting list as soon as possible to have the best chance of securing a place. You can do this by completing a Waiting List Application form and sending it to us via email or you can phone us on the number below.
We will always try to give you the sessions that you would prefer for your child however they are allocated on a first come first served basis and it may not always be possible. Please note: All sessions that are booked MUST be paid for, even if your child does not attend the session (due to illness, holiday absence etc).
Our staff will make every effort to welcome you and your children into a friendly and happy environment and we will always try to help in whatever way we can. We aim to listen, understand and advise. We like to promote a relaxed environment, where parents can feel they can talk to someone about any problems or worries concerning their children or our pre-school.
